I had a hard time telling the parents too (due to the fact that I wasn't married). I think that for ME the best thing to do was just come out straight forward and tell them. I think that they saw that I had made up my mind about it and admired the fact that I trusted/included them enough to tell them almost immediately. I had their utmost support. (which to me was AMAZING)

Valentine's day is the perfect excuse! Give them a gift wrapped in V-day wrapping paper. The gift could be either a G-parent photo frame with a picture of the ultrasound... or a G-parent figurine... or even just "I Love Grandma" bibs. Something like that. Have fun with it! :)

When iI first found out I was prego with my 2nd child I wrote "I'm a big sister" on my older daughter t-shirt. It was shocking to everyone-in a good way. You can also get fortune cookies with your own messages in it. You should have a big family dinner and pass out fortune cookies as a dessert. That would be cool.

If they live close go over and tell them. Buy a bib or a t-shirt that says I love my Grandma...etc. Thats cute. If they live away send a #1 grandparents card!
Wait until you have your first u/s and bring the picture.

I went to the dollar store and bought a pair of thin cotton booties and sent one to my parents. they loved it my mom still has it=)

well...i wussed out personally n let me partner tell 'em. and i also txt it 2 my mum!! anyway. u culd try taking them all 4 a dinner n telling them then....or...cook dinner (much cheaper option) n tell 'em then. i dnt advice txting them...dnt go dwn 2 well wiv my mum, lol...wonder y...
