I saw a chiropractor through both of my pregnancies. It helped tremendously, especially with the sciatic nerve issue that can develop. According to 3 chiropractors that I know, women who do get adjusted have easier deliveries. I believe it too as both times I hit 10 centimeters before they could get me my epidural.

I am 23 weeks along and have been seeing a chiropractor since week 20 because of pain in my hip and lower back. I would recommend this to anyone and have found it to be the quickest relief from the aches and pains your body goes through as it changes. My chiropractor spends alot of time with massage adjustment and i wouldn't trade it for the world. You don't have to worry about chiropractors sending you into preterm labor because if they are any kind of good chiropractor they will be trained in the areas to avoid and the right techniques to use. Good luck.

I saw a massage therapist through all three pregnancies and that helped a lot!
If I were to ever get pregnant again, I would consider seeing a chiropractor as well if I could afford both.
My third was breech until late in PG. If she had not turned when she did, my next step would have been to see a chiropractor to try the Webster Technique.

No doctor will tell you go to a chiro - they don't like them. I've been going to a chiropractor for almost 5 years b/c of a car accident I was in, and I wouldn't be able to function if I didn't go. I'm 29 wks pregnant with my first baby and have had no problems w/ going.

I was going to and then a friend gave me a prenatal yoga video. I tried it and after a couple of sessions, the pain that was bothering (sciatica) me went away completely! I am glad I didn't go because the nearest pre-natal chiropractor was not really convenient to where I live and I could just pop in the yoga DVD whenever I wanted and practice in privacy.

No, but I wish I would have. After having my daughter I had probs walking and I went to see the chiropractor. My hips were uneven making it hard for me to walk. Had to walk w/ a walker for a while. My next pg I will DEFINATELY be seeing my chiro!

with the different position your pelvis and everything in the middle area is i believe it is an excellent idea to see the chiro. i did during and after both my pregnancies. after child birth is very important too so make sure you keep up after having the baby. they had special pillows and such to make room for the belly and breast. we even had the boy adjusted after they were born. they have so much stress put on the necks and spines from being born its unimaginable. of course they don't lay them down on a table and push and press like they do us. mine just did little presses here and there.

For a few I really felt the need to go and I didn't because the OB said that it was a bad idea. For later pregnancies it got so bad I decided to not listen to the OB and go anyway. Found one that specialized in pregnancy and MAN did I feel better!

I wouldn't ever see a chiropractor if I was pregnant. Could you imagine if something bad happened?
