Pregnancy - November 2006

Right after I had my period and i was supposed to start the pill, i forgot and took it a day late. that night I had unprotected sex, and a few days later i had symptoms of pregnancy, such as vomiting every day and breast tenderness, although no cramps or pains(which I don't even get when I have my period. I was going to wait to see if I got my period, which i did, but I know when you are on the pill, it is still possible to get your period. About 2 weeks later I started bleeding, but not heavy like when I have my period. After 2 weeks of bleeding I took a pregnancy test, and it came up negative. So I'm wondering if I was pregnant and I had a miscarriage? I never went to the doctor, but It's been a month since that, so should I go to the doctor, or is there no point now since it's been a month? If it was a miscarriage and if there is no way for the doctor to tell because it's been so long, would it affect me in the future when I want to have kids?

Ok, I am seventeen and I think I might be pregnant. I have had unprotected sex with my now "ex" boyfriend multiple times. Last month i had sex about 14 days atfer my period. My breast are really sore and my period is due tomorrow and I feel NO signs of PMS at all.I usaually get cramps but not this time. I know its a high chance of me being pregnant. But how did you tell your parents and how did they react?? Help me please!! Any advice is needed. And I know I shouldn't have had unprotected sex but he kinda made me.

Can you feel any difference in your body within the first 72 hours? when can you take a test to determine it? Does the sponge work, how can you make sure. What if you don't put it in 100% correctly?

I think you have to wait two weeks for an accurate result. but I can't wait that long!!!! What are some "symptoms" of being pregnant within the first few days/first two weeks, if there are any?

Im 18, she 16. She told her dad she is pregnant and she is just a month. Now her dad doesnt want her to have the baby cuz she is too young. I am totally against it. But he gives me the option of either payin about 500 dollars for the abortion or goin to jail for her bein a minor. Now he wants the money in two freakin days, which is ridiculous cuz i dont got a tree in my backyard that grows money. I really want her to have the baby. She kindawants to too but cuz of her dad she wont. I got to have it by saturday. What should i do? I was thinkin of jus goin to jail on purpose but idk if that would help prevent abortion. Wife's pregnant and craves for dates. (No, No! - Not dates with other men..) - I am referring to Date - the fruit.

She likes to eat 5-10 of these every day. I couldnt find much information on these in any pregnancy book.

Does anyone know if its ok for a prognant woman to eat dates. They say pregnant women should not eat some fruits like Papaya because they have a lot of heat. We need to know if Dates fall in the same category - or are they ok?

Spoke to the labor and delivery ward at the hospital and they said that I should drink a lot of water and not come in until there are 4 contractions an hour

My husband and I have been together for 5 years, for the past 2 years I have wanted a baby so much it drives me crazy.

We have decided to finally start trying after the New Year.

My friend has known her husband for a little under two years, she is now 5 months pregnant. I am trying to be happy for her, but sometimes I feel jealous and sad that I don't have a baby yet. Its hard for me to get into her pregnancy stories when I have been waiting for years to have a baby with my husband.

I feel like a horrible friend and I know as soon as I am pregnant I won't be jealous anymore. We had to wait to get pregnant until we bought a house. Now we have it and its time to start!

Is it horrible to be jealous of a friend's pregnancy?

I am on microgynon 30 contraceptive pills and have never missed a pill, however about 3 weeks ago I took a pill about 5 hours later than i normally would and used no additional contraceptives when i slept with my boyfriend that morning. I know that you can take the pill 12 hours late if you do forget but I am experiencing spotting which I have never had before and am late for my period by a few days when normally I am pretty regular- reading through similar problems it seems that there are many contradicting answers when it comes to these symptoms so I was wondering if anyone had any answers for this specific situation. I'm starting to get really worried so was looking for any advice possible...thank u :)

I woke up with a rash on Saturday. I am 9 weeks pregnant my skins isn't really sensitive and I don't have any skin allergies that I know of. Some bumps look like I went to bed with a mosquito and the rest is a fine rash. It is on my torso only not on my extremities or face. I called my OB she told me to put benadryl on it and I did it isn't better so I am seeing the doctor tomorrow. I heard that some women get a pregnancy rash. Has anyone heard of it?

I'm 37 weeks 1 day. This is my first child and she is large. At 35 weeks 5 days, she measured 7 lbs, 7 oz. The gestational age is correct. My husband was out of town for 3 months previous to my estimated conception date, and at 5 weeks 5 days I had an ultrasound to rule out an ectopic pregnancy. It showed a 5 to 6 week embryo.

A week ago Monday, I was 0% effaced. On Monday of this week I was 20% effaced, but not dilated at all. Today, only 3 days later, I was 80% effaced and 1cm dilated. I forgot to ask today, but Monday the doctor said he could feel the baby's head when he did my internal exam.

I don't have any strong contractions, but I have cramping and a mild ache in my back that lasts longer than a contraction.

Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, how long were you like this? I know when I go back in on Monday to have another measurement of the baby, my doctor is going to schedule me to be induced, but I'm wondering if I could go into labor on my own before then

I am not overweight, but I really could lose 10-15 lbs and be more fit. My husband and I really want a baby and I can't decide if I should lose the 10-15 lbs first and then try to get pregnant or get pregnant now and not worry about my weight.

Is it a good idea to not lose the 10 lbs because I could lose it if I get morning sickness? I wanted to lose the weight because I don't feel confident with my body since gaining 15 lbs since last year. I was worried it may affect my pregnancy.

I really want to get pregnant, but I don't want to be extremely overweight while pregnant.

i started bleeding so i went to the e.r. they say it was normal because my cervix is very sensitive the only thing that was unnormal was that i had started dialating 2 to 3 centimeters i stayed there over night and was let home wensday morning because i was still 2 to 3 centimeters my next dr. appointment is on the 10th of november can my cervix close back up so i can carry my baby full term this is my first succesfull pregnancy so i want to carry the baby until the due date which is dec 18

How come there's a 'trying to concieve' category in the pregnancy group but no abortion assistance one? There isn't one in womens health either.

Is our society so child-centric and anti-choice that we give an open forum for teenagers trying to breed, but none for responsible people who want to make an informed choice about their body?

ok i took 2 test and they came back neg but my boobs are sore and i am am getting sick and so is my husband, but the test said neg and my stomach is getting hard so can u guys tell me what you think . i took the ept that tell yes or no and both times it said neg so i dont know. but i go to the doctor in a week so i just want to know what you guys think.
