When can you take a pregnancy test? Is it best to wait after your missed period? Are the results of testing before a missed period very accurate?

Okay, this is going to make me sound like the most unintellegent person around, probably, but the thing is: I just simply don't know. I can't tell if my water is leaking, or if somehow, it's clear urine that comes out. Now, it doesn't feel like I'm actually.. "peeing" because I don't really have to do anything. But, it usually only happens when I'm in the bathroom, even after I've peed, fluid leaks. I have a little more discharge than usual, but I'm sure that's just due to the close timing it is for my baby to be due. (One week left!). How can I tell the difference??

I have one child already, but never went through "labor" so to speak. I had her by C-section due to contractions not dialating my cervix and the ultrasound showed her to be big (which she wasn't!).

My girlfriends last period was October 15, 2006. She and I had unprotected sex on the 25, 28, and 31 of October. Also on the 4 of Novemer. She is on no kind of birthcontrol. Her period was due on November 9. But still hasn't come, she said sometimes she is on a 28 day cycle, which would mean it was due today, although still nothing. She has been complaining of nausea, headaches, cramping (a week ago), lower back aches, and seems to be constantly tired. She took a pregnancy test on November 9, but it came out negative. I am wondering what are the chances she may have took it too early, or if it was a "false" negative. I'm only 18, I don't know how all this works. Please bear with me. Any advice would be appreciated.

we had sex 2nd last week of oct i started to bleed on nov 1st i just had a bubba 3 months ago and dient get a period im not shure if it was a period i had on the 1st or inplantaion bleeding they call it it lasted 3-4days i took a preg test like 2-3 days after my bleeding stopped and it came up 2 lines but faint then i did other 2 and couldent see anything one of the tests i got witch was the postives ones were ones u can use 5-10 days before ur period is due and the ones dat were negative were ones u suppose to use a day after ur period is due is there such a thing as a fake postive iv also had nasua and i feel like im gettin big its now nov 13th

My period came on Oct. 26. 14 days ago( oct. 30 ) I ran out of birth control pills so I start taking exp. pills, they were also a higher dose then my reg. pills My period went of Nov. 2nd. Nov.4 my boyfriend and I had sex. After I got home I took 4 pills. 4 days after having sex I start having a thick white wet oderless discharge and two days after my discharge started I started to cramp a very little and spot. I have been spotting for two days now. what could it be? pills or am I pregnant?

My 15 year old sister is thinking about getting pregnant with her boyfriend so that she can keep him from leaving her. He has his eye on another girl and she feels that having a baby from him will force him to love her and the baby so he wont leave her. The problem is before she gets pregnant she is trying to figure out where to buy the healthiest umbilical cord to insert in her uterus for the baby to feed off of. I'm not sure what web site or grocery store she can go to buy a clean umbilical cord for her unborn baby. I just have sex with my gf yesterday. Its just after the 2nd week of her menstrual cycle. I think my sperm get into her vagina. I not sure whether she will get pregnant. So is it advisable to go get a pregnancy test first or wait for her next period to come before deciding what to do.

I am 28 weeks pregnant and my groin area, lower back, and abs are very sore. This is my second child and I know a lot about the aches and pains of pregnancy, but I don't remember being this sore. Sometimes can't even do things like walk through walmart or down steps. Getting in and out of bed is a pain in the *** as well. Why am I so sore and is there any remedies for it? I am getting really annoyed with it!!!

is it dangerous to smell benzene during pregnancy?my father in law was putting benzene in his car and i didnt that know so i went the backyard and the smell was really strong.i only smelled it for a couple of minutes.could that do any harm to my baby?did anybody smell benzene when pregnant and their babys were fine?i am 35 weeks pregnant.

Two days ago I felt a little trickle and again today. I am already high risk and have go back to the Dr. on Tues. I don't think my baby is large enough to put that kind of pressure on my bladder so I'm concerned that it might be am fluid. My mother's expecting a baby on November 30. When she went to the doctor last Wednesday, she found that she was 50% effaced but not dialated. I understand effacement and dialation, but how long can we expect to wait before she goes into labor? Thanks for the help!

i am 38 weeks and every tells me that i should feel the baby move less now since i am getting close but he is still very much active he gets the hiccups at least once a day and still likes to kick i know that i am getting close b/c he has dropped quite a bit i can feel alot of preasure down there especially when standing for awhile has anyone else had an active baby till the end?

I've been trying to conceive for 4 years, and after my third IUI I finally got a positive home preganancy test. (2 home test) yesturday and this morning) This afternoon I started to get mild cramps like I was going to start my cycle. When I went to the bathroom, I had dark brown spots in my panties, and a lighter red when I wiped. It's not really bad, but I'm very worried. Is this normal?

Hi all, i am 22 years old and 27 weeks pregnant and have had blood test and scan for Downs Symdrome, which came back as low risk being 1:37000.

For some reason i can't stop thinking that i might have a baby with Downs, i know this is going to sound silly but i keep seeing down's people which gets me thinking that maybe it is a sign or something. It is like when you buy a new car, you then seem to see that same car everywhere.

What do you think my chances are of having a downs baby?
