You could be having the pain because the baby is getting bigger...lower back and groin pain are normal for most women. The groin pain is a definate sign that baby is putting on a little weigt which is great! But if the pain is too much to bare, the ask your doctor if it is ok to take something, one of the best and sometimes only pain relief to take during pregnancy is Tylenol. You abs are probably also stretching around the baby causing pain, try doing a little pregnant yoga, to relive some of the aching, and getting into a warm bath may help as well.

Oh.....I've been there! My midwife told me that with your second (or third, fourth, whatever) child, the soreness is usually worse because all those muscles and ligaments have already been stretched once. Its just one of the perks...like feeling movement sooner, or a shorter labor.
You can take Tylenol to help, warm (not hot) baths, and a massage wouldn't hurt! They also sell "belly bands" which go under your belly and help keep some of the pressure off your back.
Good luck!

Hi,
I was sore like this, and for me is was my ligaments stretching. Your body releases chemicals to soften your ligaments (like muscles but usually in the joints and attahced to the bones) to help the baby fit out your pelvis. Unfortunately the rest of your ligaments are softened too, so you get quite achey in the knees and hips especially. The solution is to see a physio and get some exercises to help tone those joint muscles up, which counteracts the ligament loosening. Pelvic floor excercises are great for the pelvis aches. For your knees and hips, it can help to do an excercise where you stand up straight, then bend you knees a little but keep you back straight and upright, and balance in this position. You can learn these excercises in a pre-natal excercise class, they have them free in the hospitals Australia, they're run by physios. I don't know what they have in other countries though...
The best thing I found to stop my knees and hips aching was actually to stop crossing my legs! I din't realise I crossed my legs so much! But of course it was helping to stretch the loose ligaments in my joints.
Good luck, I hope it gets better for you soon :-)

I became sore with my second child too. I think its from all your organs getting squished together to make room for the baby.

maybe you are carrying low, let your doctor know, He might put you on bed rest for the rest of the pregnancy.
Be careful, and instead of walking try a wheelchair, I know, its uncomfortable but wherever is good for the baby.
good luck.
