1st check up they will take your complete health history, depending on the doctor they will do an internal exam, maybe an ultrasound (once again depending on the doctor), you will get your due date

2nd check up the will measure your belly and check for a heart beat with a doppler, and may try to see the heart beat on ultrasound if they didn't do this at appt #1

3rd check up and many more after they will check baby's heartbeat, get your weight and blood pressure, measure your belly and make sure you have no questions.

About 20 wks your OB will order an ultrasound, you will have blood work and other lab work done at various points along the way and starting at 36 wks you will get an internal exam at every visit.

Well, to start off you will only go once a month for about the first 7 months. They check the size of your uterus which helps the Dr. gage how big the baby is. At about 17 weeks you will get an ultrasound. At your first visit you should be given a bunch of information and a book. Read it! Ask your Dr. all questions you think of. Write them down so you don't forget. At your first visit you can ask your Doc what to expect the next 9 months. Congrats!!

Usually a doctor won't see you until you are at least 8-12 weeks along depending on the doctor. They do a pap smear at the first appointment, ask lots of questions health related,do a blood test to check for HIV,STD's,blood type, blood count etc. usually at your first appointment. It is not until around your 2nd trimester that you can hear the baby's heart and have an ultrasound.

Well at the appointments you will get weighed at every appoinment. This is to make sure that you are gaining the wight that you need and at a healthy weight. they will take you blood pressure to make sure that you do not get pregnancy induced hypertension, This is also at every appointment. When you are at around 20 weeks the doc will send you for blood work and then they will do a couple other tests and ultrasounds to make sure that youand baby are doing okay
Do not worry about anything

all doctors do it diff. But when my wife was pregnant. The first one they just pretty much talk to you and make you fill out paperwork. They will try to calculate when the due date will be. The 2nd and 3rd they will have you pee in a cup and take blood work and discuss your diet.
