Hey everyone,
Well I was suppose to start my period yesterday.. Nothing came so I took a pregnancy test this morning and took a test this afternoon and guess what there both POSITIVE!!!! I am overly excited and I cant wait to tell my husband.. This is our FIRST baby.... I am more nervous than anything right now because I want to take care of myself so that I dont have a miscarriage..Anyone have any advice or tips on how to stay safe to prevent miscarriages?? also any advise on what to do from here??? I am an overweight woman but I have been reading about overweight and pregnant and they say as long as you take care of yourself you will be fine.. and my doctor gave me the go ahead to get pregnant!!!

I have read all the websites and books on how much your baby is suppose to weigh at certain times throughout your pregnancy. But I was just wondering...in actuality do you remember what your baby weighed at 30 weeks...or around that time frame?

I just want to know if my baby is along the same path as others.
She is 3 lbs 4 oz.

How long will a doctor let you be in labor before resorting to c-section? I know every hosrital and doc is different but there's got to be an average somewhere.

I was supposed to start my period yesterday so I took 2 pregnancy tests today one this morning and one just now and they both came back positive!! They both have a little fainted lines on them but it still clearly shows pregnant!!! I AM SOOOOOOOOO EXCITED.. This is our first baby!!!! Anyone have any tips for a first time mom and any ideas on how to prevent miscarriages?? I am so nervous yet so excited at the same time!!!!!!!!!!

spell pregnant "pregnate?" I mean, if you're old enough to discuss pregnancy, shouldn't you be able to at least *spell* pregnant? And how do they spell pregnancy, "pregnatecy?" Yikes.

Could it be lack of education? Such as English as a second language and or conservative American households that also feel sex is taboo in the home or even as a spoken warning to young kids?? The earlier you educate the better. Opinions?

I'm not sure if I'm pregnant or not, but it might be possible. I've been with a horrible cold, chills, fever, joints pain, sore throat, the lymph node of my throat (left side) is vey inflamed and I can hardly eat or pass water. I went to the doctor and the doc just say "it's a viral infection, take tylenol and it will be fine in 3 days". I'm just concern because I know tylenol cannot be taken when pregnant or possible pregnant. Do you have any suggestions?

I just had my period on the 11th and its usually ever 30-32 days so I should ovulate around the 27th. I had unprotected sex on the 21th (yes i know i should always use protection) and he did pull out (which I know that sperm could still have been released). Starting yesterday, I got lightheaded and dizzy when i stand up from sitting for a while at first I just blew this off thinking that I havent been drinking enough or that it had to do with the stomach pains that i have been having since around thursday (before the sex) as some type of stomach virus. But today I have been having some discharge and am wondering could I be pregnant or am I just ovualating b/c I usually dont have discharge and if it is just ovulation what are the chances that I get pregnant if I had sex on the 21st? Thanks for any help!!

I'm 16 weeks pregnant, and am getting an ultrasound done at 20 weeks, and if the baby is in the right posistion, I'll be able to see the gender. I got an ultrasound done at 15.4 weeks pregnant, and the baby looks like its hanging from it's back/ laying on its stomach on the ultrasound. Most babies look like they are laying on their back, but mine is clearly on its stomach. Will this be a bad posistion? or will the baby probablly turn in the next 4 weeks? thanks =)

On Saturday night I ate some chicken parm. Later on that night it really disagreed with me and I spent the whole night viomting. Is that normal. Is it a type of morning sickness. I think I lost mine. It wasnt at all bloody but it was best described as thick and gloppy. Did yours come out all at once? How long after you lost yours did you go into labor. I know it varies from person to person, im just trying to get an Idea. Oh yeah, Im 36-37 weeks pregnant..Thanks a lot!

then took 2 more on friday those came out negative, my period was due on saturday and nothing yet. I don't feel any different it's just the boobs that have been a little sore for about a week now. What do you think?
I'm nervous to take another test we don't want to see a negative. My hubby is so happy with the possibilty.

im on the pill but i forgot to take it for like 3 days but i took them all the third day. me and my boyfriend had sex once in late septemeber then on october 8th about 12 days later i began to bleed so i thought it was my period. the first 2 days it was brown like implantation bleeding then the rest it was regular in color but lighter in flow...i guess it's because im on the pill? i also started to notice headaches and fatigue and me eating more AFTER my "period" went off. could this also be because of the pill? or pregnancy? somebody help me i need some insight

I am 17 weeks pregnant and I am really showing. I have gained 2 lbs upto now and I am 5'0, weigh about 135. I do not have any cravings, I walk every day and eat very healthy. My sister-in-law said that it can be too much amniotic fluid. But my doctor has said that I am fine. I have the "big" ultrasound next Monday where they measure the baby. My sister-in-law is also due around the same day, but she is heavier...about 180 lbs and is not showing....is anyone else showing at 17 weeks????

We have birth photos of our first and third but none of our second until after the birth. (She came too quick for anyone else to get there to take them.) I wish I had birth pix of all three and actually, I wish I had allowed a video now too. My birth photos are very special to me and I really do cherish them. The ones of our third (home waterbirth) are very special because we had a photographer friend take them and they are just beautiful.

I asked a question about epidurals last night and got some good answers but most said it hurts really bad to recieve them...is this true? I wanna go as long as I can without one so it doesnt wear off when I really need it (delivery). so honestly, how bad does it hurt to get one? Thanks in advane.

I'm 40 weeks, due Friday, with menstrual like cramping. Last Thursday and the Thursday before that the doctor told me that I was 2-3cm dilated, 80% effaced, and at -2 station. Any chance this baby is coming soon? I have cramping and backaches and can't sleep for more than 60 minute intervals. Help!

I am honestly asking the question. I am not saying that ii is wrong in anyway shape or form. I would just like to understand better.

When I was pregnant I made it clear to everyone that I didn't want anyone but my husband and I in the delivery room. I am close with my family and love them all dearly but to me it is such an intimate moment for a family (meaning mother, father, and any other children in the family) to experience. Unfortunately that wasn't the way it ended up happening as my husband was unable to attend. I guess I just don't understand why someone would need more support then just their husband?
