I have had asthma for 15 years.(32 years old), i use advir for my asthma once a day, I have tried using just an inhaler when needed, but that was more than 3 times a week, actually i was using it every night . I would wake up at least twice for the albuterol. Now I only use the inhaler very infrequently,
Talk to your doctor see what is best for you. Asthma is not the end of the world.
I was pregnant. Chris is now 7 weeks old. Medications needed for asthma are ok, They will monitor you more, cause the baby can be on the smaller side b/c of the meds. with my pregnancy i found i had to increase the amount of medication i was using(advir) at 9 months i was even taking prednisone for a bad flair up
The docs feel it is better to treat the asthma, If you are short of breath so is your child.

I have asthma and it is really safe to take your asthma medication through the pregnancy, i just delivered a healthy baby girl in march. Congratulations on your pregnancy

I found taking my allergy pill every day helped control my asthma. Also when I walked I tried not to go up any hills. Stay on level ground. For anything else, be sure to ask your Dr.

Talk to your doctor to be sure... I do know that you need oxygen to get to your baby frequently... they might put you on bedrest later on and oxygen during childbirth. I saw that on a "Birth Day" episode on the discovery health channel. Sorry I can't help you personally. Good luck to you.
