How early is it possible to detect pregnancy with over-the -counter tests? I'm a few days late on my period, and could possibly be pregnant. What's the soonest I should be able to confirm or refute this question with a pregnancy test from my nearest drugstore?

You can test now. Get an early detection test and get one with two tests in the package. Take one and if it is negative, wait a few days and if no period yet, take the second one. If first one is positive, take the second one just to be sure. If you take both and both are negative and still no period..go to Dr. for blood test. Good luck! :)
