I'm not sure if I'm pregnant or not, but it might be possible. I've been with a horrible cold, chills, fever, joints pain, sore throat, the lymph node of my throat (left side) is vey inflamed and I can hardly eat or pass water. I went to the doctor and the doc just say "it's a viral infection, take tylenol and it will be fine in 3 days". I'm just concern because I know tylenol cannot be taken when pregnant or possible pregnant. Do you have any suggestions?

Actually Tylenol is the safe thing to take when you are pregnent- just call an OB and they will let you know what is safe. When I was pregnant I would take Tylenol cold. Everyone I know was allowed tylenol during prenancy.

Oh honey, if you don't know whether you're pregnant or not, you'd better take a test and find out soon or go back to your doctor to confirm.

I was sick during my first trimester. I made an appointment with my doctor and she pretty much told me that the only thing I could take was Tylenol and Robitussin DM, but you shouldn't take Robitussin DM regularly as directed. You should only take it if your cold is keeping you up at night because you need the rest. Other than that, she pretty much sent me home and said, "Good luck because there's really nothing else you can take."

Tylenol is safe to take during pregnancy! You've been misinformed!!!

Good luck and get well soon!

Tylenol is safe to take when you are pregnant. Aspirin is not. I kow because when I was four months pregnant, I had a horrible cold. My OBGYN PRESCRIBED me a cold medicine. Never take any other medicines besides tylenol unless your doc okays it. In the mean time, drink plenty of fluids, and try to eat soup if you can't handle anything else. If you aren't sure if you are pregnant, you should probably take a home pregnancy test,

I would try tylenol cough and cold, it's the one the the numbing sensation, I took this when I was pregnant and sick, I would find out if you are pregnant though because if you are they might be able to give you penicillian but if not pregnant you could take something different. Tylenol was the only thing I was allowed to take while pregnant.

Tylenol can be taken during pregnancy. It is ibuprofen you need to stay away from. There are a few things you can do. Go to the pharmacy and get some menthol/eucalyptus bath oil. Soak in it. Make yourself some hot tea. There are also natural cough syrups that contains echinacea and no harmful substances.
You can take garlic capsules, vitamins, echinacea. Use those to boost your immune system.
Fruit juice and water for hydration.
You sound pretty sick though. So if this continues for another day or so I would get another opinion from another doctor.

I have for sure! Only once so far for me, but I am only 23 weeks, so give it time im sure itll happen again! I had it so bad, and it didnt go away for over a week! I went to the doc, and they said take benadryl, tylenol, sudafed, afrin nose spray.. and the only thing that gave me any relief was the sudafed pe. I was coughing, sneezing, sore throat, ear aches, everything you can think of! Finally she put me on some antibiotics, (cephalexin) and it finally went away after like 3 more awful days! So you're not the only one! Hang in there and talk to you doc about the different things you can take.

You can take Tylenol or Extra Strength Tylenol for pain -- that's all. You can take Sudafed for a stuffy nose.

Actually, Tylenol products are the only products that can be taken when you are pregnant, and any of the tylenol products for cold and flu are acceptable in this case.

Actually, Tylenol is one of the only few things you can take! NO Aspirin, Ibuprofen or Naproxen. In addition, a pregnant woman CAN take...for colds..Robitussin or Robitussin DM cough syrup, Triaminic or Triaminic DM Cough Syrup, Chlor-Trimeton, Sudafed and Benadryl. Avoid all medications containing alcohol, aspoirin and zinc. and for the tummy..NO PEPTO BISMOL! You can take Kaopectate or Immodium or Dramamine ONLY.
Hope this helps!
