Do not lift heavy things, do not jump or run the first weeks, do not stretch as trying to reach ceilings, make sure you and your partner have gentle intercourse...
and
good luck!!!

Rest as often as you can. You'll never get to sleep like you once did once the baby comes. Same goes for sex. So I guess I recommend sleeping & having sex as often as possible now.
Make sure you eat right. Some think being pregnant is a free pass to eat any and everything. While an ocassional dessert or treat is fine, don't go overboard. Your baby needs healthy food and all the extra pounds will be harder to take off after the baby.
If you're interested in breastfeeding, consider taking a lactation class from your hospital or a local midwife or LLL (LeLeche League). You will find it very beneficial.
Try to avoid chemicals, drugs/alcohol, animal feces, raw meat, and accidents and take prenatal vitamins to help decrease risk of miscarriage. Although that won't always prevent a miscarriage. They just sometimes happen for no known medical reason.
Relax and have fun. It's an exciting time!

First and foremost... continue your regular programs... just don't lift anything too heavy. Make sure you're taking prenatal vitamins. Reduce your caffeine intake, eat smaller meals more often, and rest every chance you get. The first trimester is pretty tiring... so you'll feel sleepy more than usual. If you have the chance, lay down and take a nap. I saw someone said no sex for a while. Not true. The best thing for your body is to continue what you've been doing... with some precaution. Stress is the enemy... so avoid it. There's only so much control you have over your body with regard to miscarriages. If the body rejects a fetus, there's a good reason why.
Congratulations... and get the book "What to expect when you're expecting". A must have for a first time mom to be.

Start taking prenatal vitamins, if you arent already taking them. This is very important for the folic acid in them. Just relax. If you have never had a miscarriage before and there is no signs of miscarriage then there is no cause for concern. The best thing to do is to continue normal activity unless told otherwise by a doctor. Eat healthy meals and try to eat 5 small meals a day instead of 3 large meals. This will help with morning sickness. Keep cheetos and lemonade on hand because when taken in combination while nautious, it helps to calm the tummy down. I learned that from a nutritionist while pregnant with my second child. It really works.Congratulations.

Are you really excited! Do you fell like you need to shout it to the whole world from the roof top of the tallest building? Your doing the right thing right now. Being happy!!!! Take it easy for the next few weeks. You and your hubby need to decide on an OBGYN or a doc that you both are very comfortable with. Get an appointment with a doc as soon as possible and discuss each and every concern that you and hubby have. This will make you fell knowledgeable about everything that is going on inside of you right now. Do NOT stress it is not good for the baby. Get a good book and a hot cup of java and relax.
The best yes the BEST book that you can get to answer all questions about pregnancy is "What to expect when expecting"
it is the pregnancy bible.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats on your pregnancy, first you should always eat healthy, and drink lots of water, do mild exercising. There is no way to prevent miscarriage, so just do those and you should be fine, if you were to have a miscarriage it isn't your fault, but never stress over it or it could happen always think positive. Sex is good during pregnancy, just make sure after your first trimester you don't lie flat on your back. Take you prenatal and if you get too much morning sickness to where you feel sick all day talk to your doctor and he can prescribe you something to feel better. Congrats and good luck.

There is no way to prevent a miscarriage. Most of them are caused by chromosome problems within the embryo. 80% of miscarriages occur before 12 weeks, and 75% of those are before 8 weeks. Just get a good doc and have an ultrasound at 6-8 weeks to make sure there is a heartbeat, I saw mine at 6 weeks and 5 days. After you see a hearbeat your miscarriage rate also goes down. Good luck and relax. I am 9 weeks and I have worried myself sick until recently, time will go by very slow if you keep worrying.

first of all, there is nothing i can really tell you to help you because everyone is different. some people don't start showing till there about 6 months some start showing about 4. some may feel the baby move early or even later like their 7th month.you really can not tell what your pregnancy is going to be like.i can help you when it comes to morning sickness, if you have it. when you wake up sit up in bed a few minutes and don't rush to get up. put some saltine crackers by the bed at night so in the morning you will have them. eat about 2 or 3 and that will help alot. eat alot of healthy food such as fruit, vegetables, and and drink lots and lots of water. and get alot of sleep while you can, because once tis baby comes you will have none LOL.
good luck with your pregnancy!

Yay!!!! That's very exciting. Babies are blessings. Go get pre-natal vitamins if you don't have any yet. Keep a pregnancy journal, you'll want to remember all this. Eat healthy, get plenty of rest and moderate excercise as long as your doctor approves. Good luck and enjoy the ride. You'll look back on these months for the rest of your life.

My wife and I are pregnant for the first time right now as well, a little less than 3 months in. That may not put me in the best position to give advice, but what we've discovered so far is that the best thing to do is not overreact, and start preparing now. According to her OB, everyone experiences pregnancy differently, and everything my wife has felt so far has been normal, although unexpected for her. Also, we already started buying diapers; as I understand it, we will need them. Congrats.

I am pregnant with baby #1 myself. Really exciting! I had so many questions and concerns before... talk to me on yahoo if you ever want to. daniellelucille. They say to limit caffiene and quit smoking if you smoke. Also of course no alcohol, and keep yourself fully rested and stress free. Make a dr appt soon, don't freak, they normally make the appt for about 8-9 weeks along. They'll give you some prenatal vitamins and do some bloodwork. Maybe a pap. CONGRATS!!!
