if you had a regular stethoscope (my fiancee's dad stole it from a doctor...lol[BUT he knew him good friends]) but anyway i hear if you are about 12 weeks pregnant you can hear the heartbeat with this thing...is it true and if so how far along do u have to be to hear it with this...my fiancee wants to know he wants to hear the baby's heartbeat ..i dont know why but oh well

Both times I've been pregnant I've lost weight. Has this happened to anyone else? My first baby was fine and this one I'm carrying now is doing great too, I just can't seem to gain weight(I know SHUT UP, right?) I eat like crazy,but I just keep losing-25 lbs so far(I'm 28 weeks). I was just wondering if this has happened to you.

I am scheduled for kidney stone removal through my back under general anastesia. I will only be 7 weeks pregnant at the time of the operation. What is the risk to the baby from the anastesia? Should I wait until the second tirmester? Anyone have surgery while pregnant?

I am 35 weeks pregnant. I think my mucus plug is coming out. I am dilated to at least 4 (I was at 4 last Wednesday). My doctor said I was 91% -1. I have been having cramps, sometimes regular like contractions. I have been to the hospital and they had me on observation for 3 hours. They said the contractions were not regular, but my sister and I thought they were. I have had 2 doctors and 3 nurses say that everything was fine, but I don't think so. What should I do?

how many weeks are we technically pregnant from conception...i thought it was 38 weeks thats what i read..which is nine and a half months..but since the doctor adds 2 weeks from last menstrual period it is really 40 weeks right?

We knew each other for a total of six weeks when she announced that she was pregnant with my baby. She explained that she had a positive pregnancy test 25 days past the start of her previous period. (Estimated 9-10 days after ovulation).

We've now known each other for two months, and this would mean that she is beginning her 5th week. I would be fine with all of this but some things don't seem to add up. She is showing symptoms of being farther along than this. This is her first pregnancy and I can begin to see a slight swell in her belly that wasn't there two weeks ago. It's hard to detect since she is starting to fill out all over. Her breasts are definately changing. Her skin has a new silky feel to it, and she is beginning to have increasingly defined mood swings. She complains of cramping, and has had constipation for nearly a month now.

Is it normal to have all these symptoms so early in the pregnancy? How can I verify short of a DNA test?

I took 4 pregnancy tests lately. 2 different brands. They all had a very faint line by 4 minutes. Is this pregnant?
Also, has anyone ever had a negative pregnancy test and after 10 minutes it was positive? I never have and my sisters say they haven't. Just wondering if thats even possible, though that's not the case with me.
