Pregnancy - August 2006

This is my 3rd pregnancy and I have never experienced this with my 1st two. I mean I usually can't stand the smell of food. However, now I can't stand the smell AND sight of food.
I just had some potato chips- which I was intensely craving for. Bad idea! I threw it all up. I'm super hungry, but I don't know what to eat! I'm afraid that if I do eat something I'll throw up, get heartburn, get all gassy-bloated-can't burp but want to so badly~~> (which I have been everyday since we conceived).
Help?! I need some suggestions on what to eat without feeling like barfing every 5 minutes! Is there even a solution? If so......WHAT IIIS IIIIT?!

I know that during pregnancy, you are not supposed to go on roller coasters or any thrill ride. What about water slides in tubes? I am just curious.

With my daughter, I had to have an emergencyC-Section because they lost her heart beat. She was born normal and healthy though. I'm having another one and only a couple weeks along but don't want another C-Section. Anyone out there have a successful VBAC (vaginal birth after cescarean) or what can I do to lessen my chances of another C-section?

I went to the Doctor today and was told I was 2 1/2 cm dialated. I am due to be induced on Aug 25. Does this mean I will not make it to the 25th and I might have my baby sooner??

I don't understand why abortions should be completely banned everywhere. What if a woman/girl is raped, and she gets pregnant? NO WOMAN should have to go through the emotional impact of giving birth to a RAPIST'S baby!!! I don't think dumb people who have unprotected sex should be able to have an abortion.. because they knew the consequences! But honestly.. a rape victim?!?!? They shouldn't have to have a rapist's child.

I am 24 weeks pregnant and am wondering what the cervix should feel like. This is my third pregnancy and my two children are 10 years and 2 years old. I have a cousin who just lost her first baby at 22 weeks and 4 days because of a problem with her cervix...so now I am concerned (unecessarily I am sure). Thanks in advance for any information.

I tried taking birth control pills but they just weren't for me. I would sometimes forget to take them. Well, actually more than just sometimes, most of the time. So Im going to get an IUD so I don't have to worry about it. I have two little babies and I have hear that IUD's are really good even better than Birth control pills. Im hoping so. My kids are 10 months apart and I dont want any more for a while. Maybe in 3 or 4 years I may want one more.
Hope to hear your opinion on IUD's.

Hi I was wondering if any women that have been pregnant have been put on anti-depressants for post partum depression? If so would you please share the medication you got put on and how it worked for you and if there were any side affects. I would like to know because I am going to be put on them and I was wondering what was a good one. thanks :)

I mean.. i have a little pain in my boob.. like someone is inserting a needle in it.. but its not that bad.. its like a twich.. is that what people are talking about when they say thier breast hurt..how does that feel? also.. how long before your flow is suppose to start does this symptom (breast hurting) start?

I bled for three weeks after I gave birth to my daughter. Then the last few days I suddenly have a very thick, white, kind of stringy (like snot) discharge. Then, after a few dasy of having that it has started to have a rusty red bloodish like color with it. Is this a normal dishcharge after pregnancy? There is no bad smell with it and no pain. Its bothersome though because we cant have sex with that nasty thick discharge...should i get it checked out or is this pretty typical. If so, will it go away and when....

i've been feeling really broody alot lately. and would love another baby. i have a ten month baby and admittedly if it weren't for my mother i would of had a break down. i found it so hard and needed my mothers help 24/7 since the baby father left me but now i feel very confident in raising my baby on my own now and feel i could cope with another one. just one more for my baby to have someone to play with and feel close to. im seriously thinking about getting pregnant again but not too sure whether i should or not. and by the looks of things it looks like i'll be doing it alone (the raising part). i need some helpful advice. that'll make me make the right choice.

I'm only ten weeks pregnant, but I am trying to come up with some boy names. I was thinking about Ryland or Bry. The middle name will be Austin, we will not change that because that is the name of my boyfriends nephew that passed away.

My question is do most doctors give you a choice between induction & c-section if you have gestational diabetes?

I have heard that c-section is actually safer d/t the complications that can happen with "au naturelle" (as natural as induction can get...NOT)

I'm now 37 1/2 weeks pregnant with G.D. and have yet to see the specialist (on Monday)...so I kind of would like to be prepared.

Also, can one DEMAND a c-section and get what they want? Or will most doctors do what they want to do?

I think I'm losing my mucous plug. However it's not a "bloody show" it is clear and very klumpy! Im not having any MAJOR cramps but i have had a few LITTLE ones. What does this mean? Could I be near labor?

im 21, this will be my 3rd pregnancy (none went to term), i aborted both of my past pregnancies, and deep down my heart is telling me to keep this one. i cant put my emotions & body thru another abortion...but i am really worried what the father will say & do...or not do... the last abortion i had he was the father and told me that he did not want that child, and i couldnt have a baby with someone that said they didnt want a baby, or that they didnt want to be a part of the childs life, i could not bring another unwanted baby into this world so i had the adortion. we have been together 2 years, and im almost to the point where i dont care what he says, but i am so scared, i dont knwo what to do...then my mind keeps telling me that once again i cant bring another unwanted baby into this world... i havent told him yet im scared as to what he will say... i feel happy but i dont want to raise a baby all on my own... i have a steady job, but $$ does not raise a child, two loving parents do

I've had some symptoms of pregnancy this month (sore bbs, spotting) and today I'm supposed to get my period...I went to the ER yesterday because I had a pain in my left abdominal area and they gave me a urine test and it came back neg...they said their tests are really sensitive and it should show up..but i "feel" pregnant...is it all in my head or is it still possible?

So I have gestional Diabetes and I just found out yesterday that I might be induced Monday.. For those of you who have been induced, what does it feel like? And are is there anything I should worry about besides the common pain worries? I'm really freaking out cause it was something I was never told and i'm worried the baby wont be developed enough. I bellive that I am pregant because I am way passed due of my monthly so I want to take the test in the afternoon and I want to know if the test will show up right if Idon't drink anything for 4-6 hours so I don't have to wait till morning?
