My Dr asked me if I want to do amnio cuze, my blood test for down screen was 1in160, Iam 32 and firt baby, not down history in our families....I am thinking ot have ultrasound but I have heard that most ppl go for amnio at the end

Every day since I told my mother about my plan to have a waterbirth at my home with a midwife instead of a hospital birth, she has tried to talk me out of it. She is not being at all supportive. How can I ease her fears & get her off my back!?

Why if you breast feed do you need to pump breast milk?? This is my first pregnancy and I don't have any girlfriends that have had baby's. So I haven't talked to any other women about this. I plan to breast feed and would like to know a little about it from experienced mums!!!! Thanks! :)

Okay, I was supposed to start my period 3 days ago but haven't yet. I thought I would start today since I noticed some light pink when I wiped after using the restroom yesterday. But nothing.. then today around noon I noticed only when I wipe, that there is a light brown discharge. I've heard of implantation bleeding before.. could this be that? I've tested and the results are negative. I don't have any cramps and no signs that my real period is going to show up?? Has anyone else had this happen and if so, what was the outcome?

She smokes 151 cigarettes daily in those 17 hrs.she inhale cigarettes very much deeply & for long period.

I am 36 weeks, and at my appointment tomorrow my cervix will be checked for the first time.

Some background....(This is my second pregnancy), with the first one
at 35 weeks, I was 1cm and 70% thinned out
at 35 weeks, 5 days - 2cm and 80%
at 36 weeks, 5 days - 3cm and 80%
then she was born at 37 weeks and 3 days.

Given this history, do you have any guesses as to what I will be tomorrow? Just for fun (10 points for the closest answer).

Learned from a site that says grapefruit juice helps promote the quantity and quality of cervical mucus which is critical in conception. Any idea? Is grapefruit juice and grape juice exactly the same thing? I just found grape juice in warlmart but not any grapefruit juice in there. If they are different drinks, where am I supposed to get the grapefruit juice? Thanks in advance.

i am 39 weeks and 4 days. everyone tells me i will know when i go into labor but dont the contractions start out light and get really strong?? im asking bexcause i am sitting here looking at my rock hard belly and it is hard as a rock and it hurts like a period cramp and its been this way for the last minute, its slowly softening back up . i live an hour away from my hospital that is why i ask?? cuz i want to make it to the doctor on time
