There are 3 things in life that if you wait till you can afford to do you never will - #1-Get married
#2 Have a baby
#3 - Take a vacation

I was 17 with my 1st baby and 20 with the 2nd, I have been a stay at home mom for most of that time. I have given them my time and been a great budget shopper. I now have 2 happy children who are content( for the most part) with who they are (so far). Children are expensive, but what they need the most is love and a parents time.

I think you need to be concerned more with how much income is coming in weekly versus how much you have "saved up." Diapers and formula alone can cost at least $50 per week. If you have to send the baby to daycare (unless a relative or friend can watch the baby), that is an additional $150 - $300 per week, depending on what type of daycare you have and where you live. Are you already pregnant or just thinking about it? If you're just thinking about it, try to wait until you are at least out of school and able to work full-time (or be a full-time at home mom if you get married and your husband is able to support the both of you). Good luck!

How about you spend that money on a wedding. Why be a "baby's momma" when you can be a wife? Make sure this guy is the one you want to spend the rest of your life with. If he is a good guy will be stuck with him anyway because of the baby. With two of you working together. You will give the baby a stable home life. Then the money doesn't really become an issue. Of course you need money, but families work it out.

well if you would like your child to go to college also, by the time he/she goes (18-19 years from now) if the rates keep rising as they have, the cost of 4 years at a University will cost a little over a million dollars....seriously. If you are a student, you might not find that too hard to believe.

You can't put a price tag on a baby. If couples wait until they have enough money to have children, we would not have any babies born. Children can have a finacial strain but it is worth every cent. A great way to save money after the baby is born is to breast feed. You will save thousands buy not having to buy formula and also create a strong bond between you and your child.

You should save like 1 billion dollars because children are very expensive you should try getting a puppy first and if you don't forget to feed it then go ahead have your little crumb snatcher. remember you will need 1 billion dollars to support the kid.

10 million dollars. The lil monsters are expensive. Acutally, you don't have to save, but you do need to be able to have additional expenses in your regular budget.
