Contractions usually start slowly, like a cramp and then relax, they get stronger as labor progresses. Also the skin on your belly will feel even tigher than it does now.
I'd check with your doctor. Sometimes a kidney or bladder infection will feel like a pulled muscle.

It probably is a pulled muscle, or maybe even sciatica (trapped nerves). Also may just be muscle strain, the back has a lot to cope with as your centre of gravity changes. UNLESS you are actually feeling regular contractions. In any case, I would go to your doctor to be checked out and/or reassured - it's hard enough as it is without having to worry :) Good luck!

No no longer even near. braxton hicks is while your entire stomach will get truly tight for seconds to mins, appears like stress, cant breathe and a bit of tiny cramp. Real contractions think EXACTLY like your interval cramps however soooo a lot more excessive. U will obviously recognise while it's truly hard work or no longer. The affliction won't get higher however best worsen...believe again to while u had relatively dangerous cramps together with your interval and multiply that by way of one hundred...with an epidural and a few affliction meds u will manipulate...well success!!

I just had a baby five weeks ago, and I had asked the same question. I ended up being induced. What I can tell you is that you feel as though you're having the worst possible cramping ever. Its a pain that feels like nothing you've ever experienced. They will come in intervals, starting off further apart. Everyone always told me that I'd just know, and having gone through it, I can tell you the same thing. you will just know.

Back contractions feel like you had a nasty back sprain with pain that radiates. (meaning it comes and goes, but is never really gone). Putting pressure on your back, may help, but the pain will still be there, dull and achey.
My best to you on your delivery. Don't loose heart or get afraid as your time approaches, we (women) were designed to give life. It really is a blessing.

Back labor is so uncomfortable, nothing helps it. Feels like pressure, and any position you sit/lay in does not help. You feel like you need to move or something, but it doesn't help. It's beyond feeling sore, mine hurt like a ************.

contractions come and go. you would feel relief between them, not like a pulled or strained muscle which is sore constanly.
