Learned from a site that says grapefruit juice helps promote the quantity and quality of cervical mucus which is critical in conception. Any idea? Is grapefruit juice and grape juice exactly the same thing? I just found grape juice in warlmart but not any grapefruit juice in there. If they are different drinks, where am I supposed to get the grapefruit juice? Thanks in advance.

NO, grapefruit juice and grape juice are NOT the same thing. They are completely different fruits. You should be able to find grapefruit juice in any store. You might try looking in the refrigerated section where you can get orange juice if you can't find any in the section with other juices.

I have heard that grapefruit juice can help improve cervical mucus. Evening Primrose Oil can also help improve the quality of cervical mucus.

I think they're recommending an acidic environment for a better shot at conception. If you drink grapefruit juice, which has lots of citric acid, your body chemistry is more acidic. Same with lemon juice... possibly orange juice. If your system is more acidic, it may be more condusive to a successful conception.

That's what you're shooting for. More citric acid in your system in the form of grapefruit juice. Grapes are not as acidic, therefor
wouldn't be as effective.

Don't go crazy with the grapefruit juice. Moderate amounts will probably suffice.

Good luck!

Grapefruit juice is different from grape juice! Grapefruits are totally different from grapes! And grapefruit juice is a pinkish/orange color, grape juice is purple!! Maybe you can go to a grocery store to get grapefruit juice...other than that I don't know! Hope that helps...and good luck with TTC!!!
