Pregnancy - June 2006

Im just wondering your experiences if you got induced not to a medical problem... but because your body just wasnt going into labor? Did they start an IV or break your water... how many hours did it take ( I heard it can take a long time )... how many weeks were you.. etc. I am 41 weeks today and Im suppose to get a call telling me a date and time, in like two hours I hope! Im ready to do this...so just wanted to hear some personal experience stories.

I am due next thursday. I am a college student so I have the summer off and just being home all the time is making me so anxious to have my baby. It feels like all i have is time to just sit around and think of how much labor is going to hurt and stuff like that...I am getting more scared and ppl keep saying that if i go into labor being scared then it will hurt more. Any suggestions on what I can do with my time to keep my mind off how labor?

I had a normal period in may the 10th had sex a couple of days after and it's now june and I was suppose to come on the10th and havent. Is this a good time to taks a pregnancy test? Or should I just wait till next month to see if I come on or take a pregnancy test?

I am 3 days late and i took a pregancy test around 5am and it showed NEG. I am never late.Could something else be wrong? I was wondering if I would of got a test that cost more if the results would of been the same.

I have been pregnant once before but that pregnancy went perfectly. Now, I think I may be pregnant once again, but a test hasnt confirmed.
I have breast tenderness, but that is the only sign. I had a short period (I think) at the end of last month. The thing that was weird about that was it was my second in the month of May, and I didnt have one again this month. I am regular, the beginning of the month.
I am just confused! Please Help!

Deep question amongst some coworkers. If you found out while you were pregnant that your child was going to be retarded would you consider an abortion or adoption or keep the child? How would we judge that parent if they didn't want to keep the child? Is it fair to bring a retarded child into this world? Would YOU want to be born?
