Oh my... people are clueless on here .

It is perfectly safe to have sex throughout the entire pregnancy (meaning from the moment she gets pregnant all the way through delivery) unless for some reason there are complications and the Dr. advises against it.

So, go right ahead. And if either of you are worried, or have questions talk to her Dr.

In most cases is safe, but it is strongly recommended that she consult her doctor first. Actually, the baby is placed deep inside the uterus, floating in the amniotic fluid. So, there is no chance that it can be harmed directly. Sex can be harmful only if there is a problem of placenta previa. That means that placenta is placed too low in the uterus. In that case better be carefull during sex in order not to cause bleeding from inside the uterus.
I gave birth three months ago. I had normal sexual life until my 8th month of pregnancy, even though my doctor sad that I'd had placenta previa. The only reason I stopped having sex in 8th month is not some possible complication, but my stomach was too big.

Anatomically the baby is carried in the UTERUS, not the vagina which is where intercourse actually takes place. Ask any doctor, they will tell you it is safe. The only thing you have to worry about is post-pregnancy. You can get pregnant again immediately after birth, which is unhealthy for the mother and the fetus. IUD's or birth control that is safe during lactation are something to look into. :)

You can have sex during pregnancy. During the last few weeks you should be careful though. And of course, it's all about how comfortable she is. Some woman especially during pregnancy have alot of discomfort in certain areas of their body! Make the decision together and treat her with respect and tenderness!

I agree with some of the answers above, seeking a real doctor, and knowing how long the girl has been pregnant.

I remember an episode on FRIENDS (sitcom) on a gynecologist advising Rachel and Ross to have sex could speed up the labor. (Rachel was however, 9 months pregnant at that time and she was getting impatient).

yes if done properly. i did it with my wife during the whole pregnancy even a few days prior to delivery. makes baby fall asleep too instead of kicking in the stomach all night long. I think the endorphins helps baby relax too. My baby came out not fussy at all, really behaved. People ask why my baby is soo behaved, I tell them sex during pregnancy.

It depends on the amount of time the female has been pregnant.

You should always consult a doctor or geinocologist (however you spell it) first before doing it and possibly harming the child.

Usually during the first few months but then again it depends on what the dr says. Their advice is what you really need.
