You're the director of human resources at a Fortune 500 company, and you are hiring for a managerial level position in finance. You get a stack of resumes. Each of the women have similar academic credentials and experience.

Which of these candidates would you interview first?

"Kylee"
"Kayleigh"
"Christie"
"Brittany"
"Anne"
"Jennifer"
"Diane"
"Hillary"

I love the feeling of this name. It's sound, it's strength, it's meaning, etc. I would only use it as a middle name. But the question is, is it hopeless due to people's immediate allude to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart?

Xander Amadeus
Shiloh Amadeus
Raiden Amadeus
Ansell Amadeus

I was just wondering... Is there anyone out that that doesn't have a middle name? Would you ever consider NOT giving your child a middle name?
Why do you feel it's important for a person to have a middle name?
I only ask because I've been browsing around the baby names section of yahoo answers for a few minutes, and have been seeing some beautiful first names! But some of the these nice names seem to be mashed in with a middle name that doesn't fit them, but would sound pretty on it's own.
And if I ever have a girl child, I would want to name her Amelia. But she'll have no middle name, since I can't find one that sounds nice with that to me.

My fiancé and I want to name our first children after family members, as a way of honoring our grandparents and great-grandparents. We're hoping to have a son the first time around and are thinking of using our grandfathers' names. However, the name would be Otis Glenn. Otis for his grandfather and Glenn for mine.

Truthfully, I don't mind Otis, and we could call him Glenn if we wanted to and Otis could just be something for his birth certificate and formalities and so on. But a lot of people are reacting badly to the name. It's an older name, but I don't think it's so awful. So I'm wondering what you think about the name Otis?
