Heiffer. It's what all the kids at school will call her, so you'd better get her used to it.

You should pick something that's more...traditional, so the child doesn't have to deal as greatly with the cruelty of other children. Sometimes, nicknames do happen on their own, but a lot of times you give on based on the name. (As in Kathy for Katherine). For a name like Hafitha, I think you are going to have to rearrange some letters and sounds. How about something short and pretty like Thia? (pronounce Th-ee-ah) Good luck though. It's hard to pick a nickname. Usually they just happen one day. I think that's better than forcing one. Feefa is alright
