I would prefer to be able to shorten in some way (even if it's just a nickname, not something to go by). I need a first and middle name. The last name is Alexander. My name is Alexis Hailee, so please don't suggest either of those (I've had that happen a couple times).

Do you have a problem with naming kids after characters on tv shows or characters from books, sports stars or other celebrities... For example, I was named after Meagan, a character on the tv miniseries The Thornbirds, a show my mom watched while she was pregnant with me. It never bothers me, but some people seem really surprised when they hear that my mom named me Meagan because she loved that character on the show.

My husband and I went to my appointment yesterday an the past few weeks we were under the assumption we were going to have a boy (per the sono tech) well we found out yesterday that we are in fact going to have a girl. we already had the boy name picked out and everything but now we have to come up with a different name.
our boy name was going to be : hayden (could be both)
girl name : halyn, halynn, or hailynn

any suggestions?
