I love it...I actually have it on my list of names(that my fiance hates all of them).

I think it sounds great. And I prefer the way you have it to Kale. Cael - It seems kind of scottish to me, which I like.

my name is Gail, and as a child I hated it since amost every letter of the alphabet has a rhyming word (and some of them, like snail, pail, fail, whale, you get the drift) aren't much fun when they are associated with your name. Of course grade school is a brief time in a long life, but it's something to consider.

I like it, as it's very modern and trendy.
If you would like it on a grown up too, go for it.
Otherwise, go with Kale, Caelin or Kaelin.
Good luck picking the perfect name.

although i quite like the name, you may want to consider that kale is a cabbage-like vegetable in some countries. also, the fact that you had to expain the pronounciation , may mean he spends his time doing the same!.

That is one of my favorite names for a boy. I also like it spelled Kael. Good luck and congrats!

Do you really want to name your child after a vegetable not many people like?

Please be nice to your baby and don't name him after a gross green vegetable and force him to correct people's spelling and pronounciation for the rest of his natural life.
