I love the feeling of this name. It's sound, it's strength, it's meaning, etc. I would only use it as a middle name. But the question is, is it hopeless due to people's immediate allude to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart?
Xander Amadeus
Shiloh Amadeus
Raiden Amadeus

I know a lot of people think Shiloh is a girl's name or should only be used as a girls name, but IMO it has a more masculine feel than feminine probably because it is originally a Male Hebrew name. Since I am Jewish, Shiloh will always be a boy's name to me... Don't let baby Brangelina fool you - IMO its quite cute for a girl, but it's meant for a boy. It's okay if you disagree with me, but can that be for a different subject? I want your opinion on Amadeus, please :-) Thanks!

Amadeus is a great name! I love it, and very different and underused! So what if people think of Mozart? He was a genius.... not too shabby to share the same name! Whenever I hear the name Jake, I think of a dog... that's not so good, is it? Don't let people away you from the name because they like the same five names everyone else does!
I like all the names you have picked out...

I love Amadeus! It's great to see it used.
I agree, I view Shiloh more as a boy name. I don't really like it for a girl, but it's cool for a boy. I think people will associate it with Brangelina's baby, though.
Raiden is not my style. It sounds harsh to me ears. Like a raid, or attack.
Ansell Amadeus is nice, but a bit much together.
I love Xander! This gets my vote.
Other ideas with Amadeus as middle name:
Braden Amadeus
Charles Amadeus
Elliot Amadeus
Gabriel Amadeus
Jude Amadeus
Julian Amadeus
Jonah Amadeus
Lucian Amadeus
Maxwell Amadeus
Nigel Amaedeus
Rowan Amadeus
Thane Amadeus
Vincent Amadeus
William Amadeus
Zane Amadeus

There is a strong association with Mozart, but that's not a bad thing! I did not know the history on Shiloh- just the celebrity baby, and a Neil Diamond song (don't remember the name of the song, just that he sang about an imaginary friend, Shiloh).

i think both names being so different is not a good thing, and yes Mozart comes to mind immediately. why don't you think of a more conventional first name and keep Amadeus because u love it so much (which is what counts) then your child will be less open to school cruelty which we all go through, and will be able to write his name quicker and not have to spell it to people for the rest of his life. just an opinion, do what u feel is right, good luck!

Mozart is an instant connection, but I also thought of that stupid 80's song.
Perhaps your heart is in the right place, but you're trying too hard? Not trying to be negative, but we always have to consider how a name will affect our children on the playground, in school, and in their careers as adults.

Love "Raiden Amadeus" -- sounds cool, like he's got an NFL career ahead of him. Would also be a cool name for an investment banker or lawyer.

I immediately thought of Mozart, so I recommend picking something else.
