The name is for our soon-to-be daughter and I have wanted to use the name for many years now but never got the chance to until now. :-) I heard it in a movie but cannot figure out how you would spell it and it look the way it should to be easy for others to pronounce it correctly on the first try. Phonetically it would look like MYUR-ah, sounding like Muriel but ending in an "ah" sound instead. What do you think?

I like the names Bethany and Emma. My husband and I separated 6 months ago. We have a 3 year old boy. This will be the first girl on his side for 4 generations, but he's had nothing to do with this pregnancy. In fact, he was quite adamant about the fact that he did not want a 2nd child (we are separated and headed for divorce). He was not there for me during the pregnancy....barely cares for our son when he has him. He does not like the name Bethany and would rather call our daughter Emma. I like the name, but do you think he has a right to have a say in it? I prefer Bethany over Emma. HELP!

I just saw 2 or 3 thread asking if this name was pretty or whatever and I was just wondering if it was a girl's name or boy's name?

I remember the Coyote Ugly character being called Jersey, but I also knew a boy in my elementary school named Jersey.

Anyone know?

Ava, Grace, Bella, Kayla, Nevaeh--- They're all beautiful, but what are the names that you would NEVER name your child (for whatever reason) but still secretly love?

My friend insists that Mallory and Mallary can be a boys name too. She also states that one spelling is for boys and one spelling is for the ladies. I pointed and laughed at her, but I thought I should get some opinions anyway, babynames.com says no way lol.

I probably would not name my child Kal-el as a first name, but maybe a middle name, possibly. I think people just have a thing against it because it has a dash in it, it's Superman's name, or Nicholas Cage used it.
When said fast, I think it just sounds like the name Khalil.

What do people think?

hey everyone- i'm Tracy. my sister & brother-in-law just found out the sex of their quintuplets today. my family has been in complete shock for weeks! Sarah & Andrew used fertility drugs to get pregnant, but this is the first time multiple births are occurring in our family. they're asking us to think of possible first names for their kids. the middle names are already set. the quintuplets are 2 boys & 3 girls (in that order).

--- James Peterson
--- Nicholas Peterson
--- Lynnette Peterson
--- Suzanne Peterson
--- Annemarie Peterson

* first name should not be beginning with the letter of the middle name. they're asking that each name begin with a different letter. no "funky" names. no weird spellings. make it as normal as possible. I think they mentioned something about modern day names that go with the middle ones. any ideas people? i've got nephews & nieces on the way!

Ok, you have helped out a lot, you helped me pick Macauley Johannes and Makaylin Delaney but the thing is in my family everyone has two middle names. The second names have never been more then 6 letters long. I have two kids, and they are Mackenna Elizabeth Erna and my son is Matthieu Khristopher Noah. Give me good names and I like comman names but give them a twist and Bible names are good too. But even if they are not Comman and you like that name tell me any way

I'm 25 weeks along and having a girl. We have already decided on naming her Claire or Clayre (not sure what spelling we prefer). What middle name sounds good for Clayre (or Claire) with last name of Cornelius?

Preferably starting from "A".

My daughter is getting baptised in May and they want us to tell them the meaning of her name and why we chose it. We named her Lilyana. There are many different ways of spelling her name but we chose this way because it's sweet and simple. If anyone know the meaning of Lily I would appreciate your answers. thanks!
