Some names for my girl that I loved were Teresa (spelled either that way or Terisa) Evelyn, Isabella, and Cassia. I used to really love some of these but now I'm not so sure. Can you give me some ideas? Or tell me what you like best?

I am having a hard time because I really am not sure if I like that name or not. Unfortunately, the Dad is not the man I thought he was and not involved....so I can't ask his opinion but I am trying to think of a feminine name for someone who smiles a lot, has dark hair, is alert and inquisitive and something elegant but not too popular. Is it a really bad thing to change a baby's name? What month would be to late to change it?

How do you pronouce the name Carrie? Some people where I live pronounce it Carry, like to carry a bag of something with a hard R. Then others pronounce it like Kerry. I pronounce it Care-E.
Which is correct?

It's a running thing in my family that the first girl is either named Alice, or it's her middle name. I don't really like it as a first name, so I'm trying to find a name that would flow well with it. If you can give any ideas, it would be appreciated.

My husband and I are expecting our second child.
Our first son is named "Justis Connor Gray"
We've been told that this baby is a girl (only 75% sure) And we've picked Ayla Jazmine Gray for her name. (or Aj for short)
The problem is, I'm not very fond of "jazmine" as a middle name. But my hubby and I have an agreement where he picked the first name of our son (I picked the midde) so I got to pick the first name of our daughter and he gets to choose the middle.
I love the thought of Aj for a nickname.
Also -if- it is a boy.. I'm considering Julian someting.. but I can't find a nice middle name to go with it. Any ideas?

Give me an example if you have one.
My example is the name Persephone. For years I pronounced it as perse a phone. Well, then I learnt it was pronounced as:
per sef oh nee.
Another is Hermione which I called her moin. Well now I know it's her my oh nee.
Now I like both names.
