I like the name Cal, short for Calvin. I planned on naming my future son's name Cal for short. Along with Issac and David Daniel (David my fiance's middle name and Daniel for male version of Danielle, which is one of two middle names I have).

I think you should name him Calvin and you could call him Cal for short! One reason I believe that is because Cal is a name for friends and family and Calvin is more of a business type name for when he grows up and gets a nice paying job! Hope I helped and hope you have a Merry Christmas!

I think it's a very strong name. My husbands uncle is named Cal and he is very smart and a bit of a bear when crossed, but he can be the most loveable and most understanding man anyone could ever know at the same time! Good choice

I think Cal is a nice name, sounds strong. There is a nice strong sailboat named Cal.

I like them name Cal. It is a strong and confident name. One of my brothers' name is Isaac Calvin and he is constantly complimented on it. It is also becoming uncommon, so if you want that go for Cal definitely.

Have you ever seen 'Clash of the Titans'? Calubus is the fallen angel. So basically the devil. They called him 'Cal' in the movie. So I can say I don't care for that too much. But it is your choice.
