A lady in my sisters scrapboking clup said my kids names are wierd?

Me and my fiance are having a bit of trouble. We are having a baby boy in February and can't seem to find the right name for him. We both fell in love with the name Jaylen, but every time we tell someone his name, they shake their head! Everyone says it sounds like a girls name and that our son will be teased when he gets older because of his name. Please help us!

My fiance and I decided a long time ago that our first son's name would be Damian. This was before either of us had heard of the movie The Omen. Why do people cringe when we tell them of the name we chose? Why don't the realise that it's just a name?
