The name Nora is latin it means honor, light I personally think the name Nora is a beautiful breathtaking name, but you might want to check on the origins and meanings on the web if you have second thoughts about the name.

I have a little girl in the daycare that I work at whose name is Nora......and she is the BIGGEST brat you'll ever meet. So personally I would stear away from that name. But when you have a bad experience with someone of a certain name, you tend not to like that name anymore!
But if you do name her Nora, think of a cute middle name to go with it. And make sure it doesnt rhyme!

I like that name. It has always been on the list when I was naming my children, I would have spelled it Norah. But I think that is just because of my preference of longer names. I think Nora is a beautiful name for a girl.

I love it - it's my first choice. I had a book when I was a little girl "Noisy Nora" it was my favorite and always said I would name my daughter Nora. What is your choice for her middle name?

I like Nora. But the real questions is does it go with your (or her) last name? I mean if her last name was Norman... Nora Norman, YUK!!!
I worked for a company, and we had a customer named James W James. That had to be a tough one to go through school with. Naming my baby was one of the hardest parts of having the baby. Okay maybe not the actual childbirth, but you know what I mean

Nora is a sturdy name.. it means "Judged by God" and is the feminine form of the name Norman... it's a sound name that proves true in it's meaning... when choosing a middle name, if you are using one, try one with one syllable... it will flow more freely... also, avoid a middle name that ends with an a or the 'ra' sound...

I like it!
