On the 6th June 2001 Reuters News reported:

Britain is no longer a world power populated by affable eccentrics, but an isolated, insecure nation unable to care for its people, at least according to European commentators watching this week's general election. Several foreign commentators have seized on the campaign for a close look at Britain's quality of life and role in the world.
'The motherland of democracy and the centre of an empire that spanned a third of the world has become a state on the margins of Europe - with crumbling infrastructure and a standard of living that, experts say, can be compared at best with central Italy, except that the weather is worse'...
Stern magazine wrote. 'Welcome to cool Britannia'. Politicians admit that public health, transport and school education systems are second-rate compared with the EU average.

At the top of my list are good patriotic corporations such Boeing, General Dynamics, Haliburton, etc. These defense contractors build and mantain the very weapons systems that defend American Freedom. I love Wal Mart too, they consistently deliver low prices and tick off the labor union thug types

First lady to a corrupt president; 7 years in the liberal state of NY and has not done anything; She has made numerous speaking faux pas for a so called 'smart' women; Can not give a straight answer to any question asked of her; 50% of the people polled would never consider voting for her; She has never ran anything except for her heath care plan into the ground, so why vote for her? It's illogical.

If the country does go into recession in the coming months, what spin will be put on it to convince us it a good thing?
So far we have been convinced that shipping jobs overseas, a declining dollar, huge federal deficits, declining home values, a prolonged war, invasion over diplomacy, and giving up a few constitutional rights are all good things.
What do you think? How will recession be the best thing that happened to America?
