OK, democrats suddenly believe our intel which is saying Iran ceased its nuclear ambitions several years ago. This is the same agency that told us Iraq had WMD's which the democrats refuted at that time. We attacked Iraq on this issue and the democrats have chastised republicans for trusting the intel. Please, how can you have it both ways?

Everyone is so upset of the fact that as a religion, Mitt Romney states he is a member of the Latter Day Saints (Mormons). Prior to getting involved in politics, I am not sure what he did for employment, but am quite sure it wasn't for his church. My question is for those who find fault with him, why isn't the same if not more scrutiny being given to Mike Huckabee, who prior to entering politics, was a Southern Baptist not only by profession of faith, but by Profession, as he was employed by the Southern Baptist Association as a minister of the gospel. Isn't that blurring the lines between church and state a bit more than Romney who is only a member of the denomination and not employed by it?

In his desperate efforts to show how British he is, Gordon Brown has at least never proposed a national motto.

But Lady Warsi, one of the two Muslim peers who interceded with the Sudanese government in the teddy bear case, tried yesterday to tempt Lord Hunt of Kings Heath, a junior minister in the Justice Ministry, into just such a reckless innovation. The newly-famous Lady Warsi invited Lord Hunt to give "his six words that would encapsulate this great nation".

Lord Hunt played for time by thanking Lady Warsi for her "magnificent work in Sudan", after which he said that although the Government was not in favour of a motto, it did see advantage in a "statement of values" showing "what it means to be a British citizen".

the SECOND sentence in the article states "Rush Limbaugh blasted the report as a product of administration sabotage."

Rush's opinion gets second sentence.

The THIRD sentence is "And Democrats were accusing the president of being a flip-flopper."

Is this a "fair and balanced way" of starting off the article?

Yes, I'm talking about Gays. I don't think it's the place of Government to choose who can and who can't get married, especially when some religions (Presbyterians, Methodists) have Gay Marriage cermonies.
_I'm not a Presbyterian or a Methodist BTW, I just accept their right to be free of Government constraints. Freedom of Religion.

This question is built off a question I saw in Religion and Spirituality... I think it should be asked here.

The national debt is now appoximately nine trillion, one hundred and sixty-five billion dollars. It is estimated to be about ten and one half trillion dollars by the time Bush leaves office. That is double what it was when he took over.

Does the national debt concern you greatly, mildly, or not at all? What would you do about it?
