Desert Storm was sanctioned by the UN for the sole purpose of kicking Iraq out of Kuwait. We left Iraq after that. We had a few people in Dubai and a few other places but very few just to keep an eye on Saddam in case he went after Kuwait again.

The Al Qaeda was not in Iraq prior to our attack in 2003. Saddam and Osama didn't like each other and Saddam was a control freak.

Iraq had NOTHING to do with the 9/11 incident. Yet, we attacked them. A half hearted effort in Afghanistan took the Taliban out of control there but they still exist as does Al Qaeda. They recruit members because they are free to do so. Those members are now in Iraq to do us harm in greater numbers than ever before.

I recommend you actually do some reading, research and pay attention to events. If you had done that this question would not have been necessary as you would know that everyone thinks George W. Bush started the war in Iraq BECAUSE HE DID.

The conflict improve into unlawful below worldwide regulation. Iraq had no longer attacked the US, and the UN protection Council by no ability authorized the invasion. (The proposed conflict decision improve into withdrawn by ability of the US while it became sparkling that it might lose 13-2). the US is a signatory to the UN shape, and as a duly ratified treaty, it subsequently has the entire rigidity people regulation. The conflict improve into no longer fought to disencumber the downtrodden Iraqis from below Saddamn's evil boot. No conflict has ever been fought for altruistic applications. Wars are in uncomplicated terms ever fought for administration of political and fiscal components. The conflict improve into stable for the Kurds--it gave them a shelter from which to pursue their terror assaults against our NATO best buddy, Turkey, and a important proportion of Iraq's oil gross revenues. The conflict improve into stable for multinational oil agencies, which will now be allowed to make the main the petroleum reserves nationalized by ability of Saddamn interior the 1970's. The conflict improve into stable for the fee of the US greenback if Saddamn improve into incredibly accepting Euros for his oil rather people money. If different countries have been to stay with tournament, the fee of the US greenback might have plummeted, and the international financial gadget might have been in possibility of fall down.

Because most of America is misinformed and drink the Kool-aid supplied to them daily by the media. We were actively patroling the Iraq airspace within the UN no-fly zone and were repeatedly shot at. Clinton fired cruise missles into Iraq during his administration. The origianl Gulf War never ended but only a cease fire was signed requiring Sadam to meet certain conditions to end the war. He never met those conditions; Clinton never had the guts to do anything about it; Bush and the 2002 congress did.

I'll have to assume that you're a troll, as it could not be possible for anyone to actually be this uninformed. Desert Storm had been over for years before GWB took office. And Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. The reason people think GWB started the war in Iraq is because he started the war in Iraq. That should be simple enough for anyone to understand.

The truth hurts, doesn't it? The people that planned and carried out the 9-11 attacks had no connection to Saddam Hussein. In fact, Al-Qaeda and Saddam's regime were enemies. By attacking Iraq, the US took it's eyes off the real threats of Afghanistan and Pakistan. Got that?

Let's say that Stephen Harper(Prime Minister of Canada) told the USA that they'd better eliminate their WMD(eg. nukes) and they said they already had. He tells tthem you better let wepaons inspectors in to double c heck, and he does. They can't find anything. He then tells Bush he and has sons have 48 hours to vacate the states, they don't. He orders the invasion of America. How would it be unfair to claim he's responsible?
