I strongly dislike Bernie Ward, not just for his liberal views, but also for his rudeness to callers who dare to take a different point of view. He'll ask a no-win question, won't listen to you until you answer, and then cut you off.
That said, I hope Bernie is not involved in child porn. I don't wish for anybody to be so involved. If, as he says, he was doing research for a book, then I hope the case is dropped.
But if he is truly "into" child porn, I hope he goes to prison for a long, long time. What I want is justice, and to let the punishment fit the crime.
The sad thing is, if he's not guilty of anything more than researching a book, his career and his name are probably ruined forever. What he admits he did is against the law, but is forgiveable. But even if found not guilty, this will dog him for the rest of his days.
