Personally I think everyone should get off his back and consider how they would handle the decisions that he has had to make. I am glad that while facing terrorists who killed so many innocent people, mothers, daughters, sons, father, granparents, leaving children orphans and people without the one person who mattered most to them, I personally am glad that we had a president who had the balls to stand up and go against what may have been PC and fight to defend us. If Clinton had taken out Bin Laden after the attack on the U.S.S Cole then he wouldn't have been put in such a position. I think Americans should stop being so unpatriotic, and the way they bad mouth the President only furthers the plight of the terrorists. I think instead of bashing our President we should lift both him and his family up in prayer. Pray for him to have wisdom in all situations, and pray to protect the men and women who are fighting right now because they believe in our country and protecting us, even those of you who don't support them. I would never want a President who couldn't be a man in the face of terror. So May God Bless George Bush, His family, the men and women, and the families they represent who sacrifice their own lives which even gives the Bush Bashers the freedom to get on Yahoo Answers and rant about George Bush. I'm not saying he's perfect but, I would rather have him as president standing in the face of terror than either Clinton who would somehow be deluded in thinking that there could be peaceful negotions with Hussein,or Bin Ladin. People who gas there own people or send young men to their deaths to kill innocents are not people that can be dealt with by talking, or negotiating, i mean gimme a break, give George a break. I know I may get some thumbs down for this, and obviously I don't care I think people should stop, worrying about what is the pc thing to do and start standing up for what they believe. So in spite of your thumbs down for me I give George a Thumbs Up! Who was the best President ever? Ronald Reagan, also unafraid to be a Man

I also believe he is the worst president in modern history. I'm not a young'n Jacob. I think you're probably from a long line of Republicans and are afraid to jump off your family bandwagon. Michael, you must live under a rock. As for the rest of the answers, for the most part, they sound like they keep up with current issues. I think he is a puppet married to a Steppford wife. He sounds uneducated when he speaks and makes the crazy decisions that he makes. I think he really wanted to be written into the history books for our kids and grandkids so he got our great country mixed up in this horrible war. I respect every military person who serves. It's not their fault they are over there. I have heard many who come home and say what a joke it is that we are even over there and how they despise our President. I also think he was out to get Sadaam for his daddy. Revenge. It's unfortunate, but what do you expect with a republican in office. We want our social security back, medicare, medicaid, mental health care, veterans benefits, better VA hospitals, lower taxes, lower gas prices. Yeah, don't get me started either. Oops, already did.

When so many are covinced that Bush is the worst president in modern times I really have to assume they are young and have not seen very many other presidents. He is doing as well as a Moderate can be expected to do. He has done a lot of things that are far more Liberal than I would accept. Like massive domestic spending. The guy did not veto a single spending bill in his entire first term and most of his second as well.
That is a very Liberal way to run a government. He was right to bring the war to Iraq and liberate the people by toppling Saddam but then he was far too slow to react to changing conditions on the ground.
I think he is doing some things pretty well and doing poorly on others. That does not make him the worst president in modern history. The worst president in modern history was not re-elected. In fact he got his head handed to him by a Conservative in the largest most one sided landslide in history. (That was Jimmy Carter when Ronald Reagan defeated him).
How can anyone compare the President who let the Shah of Iran fall beginning the rise of Militant Islam, who allowed our citizens to be held hostage for over a year, who allowed the OPEC oil cartel to hold us hostage with people lined up for gasoline for miles just to get four gallons so you could get to work, inflation was so high mortgages were 18-21%,
unemployment so high PHD's were driving taxis, to what you have today?
You really do not know your history. Bush is no Jimmy Carter by a long shot. Unfortunately, he also is no Ronald Reagan.

He is doing a terrible job and he knows it. Just look at him as he lashes out but remains stubborn even in the face of overwhelming evidence cotrary to what he has been saying. He had the chance for true greatness and blew it. Alas, now he will likely go down as America's worst President ever.

He is in way over his head. His environmental policy has set us back 50 years for environmental issues. But he is after all just a man not an all knowing all seeing God or something! I would not have fair half as well with the stress that has happened while he was in office. Easy for us to say ****#####
but what could we have done better?

Worst president in the modern era, if not ever. A corporate stooge, a moron who can barely speak English, a person who invaded a country that posed no threat to the United States, wasted hundreds of billions of dollars on his stupid war, etc. Does that answer your question?

I know, do you? Let's see....this is a man that ran two companies into the ground...that's right, he bankrupted both! And my fellow Americans who voted for him...did they really expect him to balance our country's budget???? Not to mention that the price of gas steadily goes up while he is getting ready to leave office and go back to what kind of business? Oil??? Hmmmm! Yeah!! And don't you think he looks like a puppet up there when he gives his little speeches that someone else writes for him, while they sit back and pray he doesn't fumble it like he has so many times! It's funny that he is a republican when he looks and acts like the democrats mascot! Hey, if it's any consolation...I don't like Kerry either. They're politicians...if their lips are moving they are lying!
