I am writing a Degree (final year) level essay here and would appreciate advice from people with appropriate knowledge. I am not trying to initiate a 'talking-shop' debate.

Unfortunately as an Economics student this Politics module (which seems to be based heavily on International Relations theories I have never had the opportunity to study) is really challenging me and the deadline is approaching.

Your advice is much appreciated.

Or, is it truly an entitlement? If they are able bodied and claim they cannot find a job do you feel that requiring them to do things such as pick up litter, maintain grounds of public buildings, etc. is unfair?

How can one claim to be "poor" or "needy" if there is no money left after making that car payment on a late model SUV, paying for cigarettes and bottled water, buying designer jeans and designer jewelry? Shouldn't that money go to healh insurance and food?

In recent weeks, we've seen a lot of headlines about what problems Musharif is having at home, and some discussion on TV of what will happen to the Nukes, if Musharif loses power.
These are all important issues, he is our main ally in the region, (whether willingly or not), and we need his help with eliminating the terrorist camps near the Afghani border, But, I just found out yesterday, what terrible things are happening in those tribal areas, formerly known as Warizistan,..but now called Talibanistan, because the Taliban are taking over more villages and turf every day,are so entrenched, that the Paki' army has signed a treaty with them, so they can keep some troops on the border, to placate the Americans.
We can't violate Pakistani soveriegnity by going into that area to root out the terrorist, but can we continue to let Taliban and Al Queda mount attacks on Afghanistan, from a safe haven in the Tribal regions. Check: http://www.time.com/time/world/article/0,8599,1686017-2,00.html

Most of our nation is sick and tired of anything remotely resembling Christian Values or Beliefs being removed from our society . Schools , courts , public land , etc .
And some places just saying 'Merry Christmas' is being banned .
School plays that have anything to do with Christianity , even remotely , are being canceled nationwide . The Liberal Left claims that some of these thing 'could' be considered 'offensive' to some .

'Offensive' huh ?. . . . . OK , so what would the Liberal Left say when some claim that removing these things is offensive ?
What do you say when we say some liberal ideologies being taught are offensive ?
Are you equally 'offended' ?
Do you fight for Christians rights to not be 'offended' as hard as you fight for others to not be offended ? For example - Muslims ?
What makes your ideology so 'special' ? Or is it ? And if it's not then what's the difference between a Muslim or Atheist being offended and a Christian being offended ?

Do Tell ?

Exactly what "lies" were told about Iraq by the Republicans that were not also told by the Dems? Hillary herself said that there were WMD's. So did Nancy P.
Or, are they just "fair weather warriors"?

States that tend to support Republican presidential candidates (red states) also tend to receive more from the federal government than they send in taxes. Thus red states are welfare states.

amazing the way people draw lines in here, I just answered a question and went back to read the other answers and across the board the right side of the field dispelled, cat called and heckled the notion of universal health care... because most of them had existing insurance.
Isn't it Basic Human rights to be able to have health care?, and what about the 40 million plus people without it? Most of them working but not earning enough to pay for it themselves?.. people on welfare already have medicare and medicade, the people without insurance are the people that made to much to qualify for state or federal assistance.. don't you care about other hard working Americans and their families all you good Christians ?

and not with Bill Clinton or George Bush? Yes, both could have done more to prevent it, but instead of casting blame on opposite parties, why don't we band together and make our government understand that we want the terrorists captured, prosecuted, and either jailed or killed?

What do you think?

Very Fresh poll results show Hillary losing to Guiliani , Romney , Huckabee , Thompson , and McCain .
This was not the case a several weeks ago though as you will see on the provided link .
It's probably a combination of factors , but one that cannot be ignored is Hillary's wild and unsafe views on Immigration . She spoke-out at the debate. . . .. . and America heard her loud and clear . And we/they disagreed over-whelmingly . Now she's losing ground daily to Obama and cannot beat any Republican in the general elections . Thank you Hillary .

But I'm wondering if Democrats have had time to digest this great defeat .
What Do Democrats Think About Hillary's Rapid And Continuing Decline In The Polls ?

two thugs broke into this guys neighbors home, and he grabbed his shogun and finished them off. I think the man is a hero. If more people would stand up against criminals, and more criminals knew they would die for attempting this, we would have less crime. But i know there are some whiny liberals here that will defend these life long criminals as victims instead of thugs. I think we should start rewarding those that catch criminals in the act and kill them. What about you?
