I am writing a paper on abortion - so if you have ANY comments - pro-choice, pro-life, (please say why you are pro-choice or pro-life) stories, ANYTHING would help! Thank you!

Can either of them fight for their lives? Did either get a choice of life, or death?

Yes, if an adult kills a baby, we all call it murder, do we not? Cells are alive, they grow, do they not?

From (where else?) the People's Republic of Massachusetts:

Tuesday, November 27, 2007

If signed into law, parents would be prohibited from forcefully laying a hand on any child under age 18 unless it was to wrest them from danger, lest they be charged with abuse or neglect.

Charles Enloe, 45, of Plymouth, knows a little something about that. In 2005, he was infamously arrested and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon for taking a belt to his then 12-year-old son during an argument over homework.

The charges were later dropped and Enloe told the Herald yesterday the experience “didn’t change my views at all. I believe discipline starts at home. Are they going to start legislating that you can’t raise your voice to your kids? That you can’t tell them when to go to bed? We’ll be communists then.”

And then the next minute he is an imbecile? I don't understand how a group of people call him an idiot and then they say he fooled the country and is behind conspiracies hiding information. If he really is such a fool, how could he fool black pants suit girl from NY into voting for the Iraq war?

Laissez-faire economics (the central crux of conservative economic thought) were PROVEN to be an utter failure by the great depression.

and now conservatives want to bring it down upon us (only with a far greater scope and magnitude) all over again.

will we let them?

Definitions:
Median - half way point. In this case, half of American households make more, and half less.

Real Income - After inflation has been factored, so actual progress can be measured after things like declining dollar value and increased prices on things like oil, housing, food, etc. are factored in. In this case, all figures are converted into 2006 dollars.

Yes, there are declines under Bush, no question. It's expected given the hand he was dealt of the dot.com bubble bursting and 9/11.

What I want you to see here is the long term trend. Over the last 20 years (1 generation), the median household is 10% richer.

This idea that the middle class is being screwed is just wrong. As a whole, we are doing much better as a nation.

the way of life of every soul in the Middle East_and please don't say this is only in benefit of Israel or OIL_by doing all these talks, such as the one coming up in Annapolis, and by really endangering our own in the current war and other coming conflicts, while most of these Muslim people want only death for America.

So what does that make us?

Has there ever been another country like the USA?

Bush has made public statements like "I talk to a higher father" versus asking advice from his very experienced actual father. And supporters claim that he is quite relaxed despite so many problems, in part because of his "faith." Do you believe he is that committed to religion and, if so, does he tend to rely on "voices from God" in his decision making rather than intelligence and facts? If so, is that OK?

And so it begins...as one of the worried parents caught up the missing disc scandal I was looking forward to receiving the letter HMRC have been posting out to all those parents that might have been affected. A letter came though our door today from HMRC, but addressed to someone I've never heard of at this address. So I opened it after seeing something on local television about mistakes being made with the letters and sure enough, it was one of the apology letters. This person has never had anything posted to this address before, I've never heard of her in all the years I've been living here. Now I have her child's tax credit number and her national insurance number.

And if I have hers, who's to say someone doesn't have mine now????

COMPLETE AND UTTER INCOMPETENCE!!! I shall be raising this with my local MP and HMRC tomorrow because I am not a happy bunny.

Do you think it's time for Gordon to GO?

Please make your response as broad minded as possible and not try to lay the blame on just one or two culprits.

If a whole city is leading the nation in the record foreclosures that we are seeing, and we see which cities are the leaders, can we see some common threads that these cities have that would give us a better insight as to the real causes of the foreclosure mess?

Do people understand that the only companies that make money from carbon credit trading (or whatever you want to call it) are the companies that do right by the environment and don't need to buy credits?

Do they understand that Al Gore's movie sold so well because people obviously agree that George Bush's policies have neglected the environment for too long?

Do people understand that Al Gore did not "invent" either global warming nor the internet?

Do they understand that there is a big money-making scheme going on that would be disrupted by environmentalism? (That would be fossil fuel dependance.)

Driving your Hummer is just plain uncaring and irresponsible anyway you look at it.

Your thoughts?

I think that water boarding isn't torture. It's only throwing water on people's face. This could get terrorists scared and talk about potential attacks.

do you agree or disagree?
