As a Canadian I like him but in the southern states, They will never admit it but it is about race with him. They still fly the confederate flag with pride down there. If that isn't a racist symbol please tell me what is. I think Obama has the chance to be a great president, not good, great!! He has a vision. To bad I can not vote down there though

I don't hate Sen.Obama at all. However,he has never distinguished himself on the political stage. He has not sponsored any legislation of any consequence, but speaks as though he is a revered elder. In my opinion,he has spent more time promoting his books than he has making an effort to govern responsibly. And therein lies the problem with Barack Obama. He is running on a record that doesn't exist and few people are actually willing to look up.
Also, just to make a point - I am not a supporter of Hillary Clinton, either. She also is undistinguished politically;often going on both sides of the same issue. If these are the best that the Democratic Party has to offer - they will be dissapointed with the outcome in next years' elections.

I find that there are so many more pressing reasons to hate people as individuals that I see nothing to be gained by hating arbitrary races (and classing Obama - half upper-middle class whitebread American/half upper-class muslem Kenyan - as 'African American' is pretty arbitrary. Yeah, Kenya is in Africa, but we're not talking anything like having ancestors who were slaves or marched with MLKjr, are we?).

Come on people lets focus!!!!
All that should really matter is the issues. Every thing besides that is a red herring. It just smells.

Nope I don't hate Obama because he is African American.
I hate Obama because he doesn't answer questions directly.
My dream ticket would be Powell & Rice so that kind of kills your theory doesn't it?

Not really I'm not racist, I dont hate people based on their race or culture but I might hate an individual based on their idiotic actions.

Nope. Don't hate him at all. I just don't want him to be President and it has nothing to do with his race.
Most of the time people make statements like this, it's because they harbor those feelings.

I don't hate him at all. His politics are just too liberal for me. And I am a Democrat.

I don't hate Obama. HNe is an eloquent speaker, and a charismatic leader.
But you could not get me to vote for him under any circumstances. He is so far to the left he is reaching Kazakhstan.
I tend to like my candidates more middle of the road. He like Hilary is going to do more to divide this country then to bring it back together.
