An Israeli doctor said, "Medicine in my country is so advanced, we can take a kidney out of one person, put it in another and have him looking for work in six weeks."

A German doctor said "That's nothing! In Germany, we can take a lung out of one person, put it in another and have him looking for work in four weeks."

A Russian doctor said, "In my country, medicine is so advanced, we can take half a heart from one person, put it in another and have them both looking for work in two weeks."

The American doctor, not to be outdone, said "Hah! We are about to take an asshole out of Texas, put him in the White House and half the country will be looking for work the next day."

The Chinese government announced today that it plans to dump $1.4 trillion USD on the international currency exchange in favor of the more stable Euro.
This move will flood the currency market with USD and drive the value of the dollar down much further than the all time low it is now.
The effects of this move will be hard felt here in the USA. Anyone care to predict the outcome?
Will we see $200 a barrel oil by January?
Is this a good time to trade your USD for Canadian money?

America's growing dependence on foreign oil is a dangerous threat to our national security. Much of the global oil supply is located in unstable nations and the burden on our military to safeguard access to that oil increases daily. According to military and security experts, the most effective and efficient way to achieve greater energy independence and increase our national security is for Congress to pass energy legislation that increases how far our cars and trucks can go on a tank of gas.

Right now Congress is crafting the final version of legislation that could cut our oil use by increasing the vehicle fuel mileage standard to a fleetwide average of 35 mpg by 2020. If passed, these standards would reduce our country's oil consumption by 1.2 million barrels a day, more than twice the amount we currently import from Iraq. But, the auto companies are fighting this increase, pressuring lawmakers to weaken or delay energy legislation.

After all, Chirac was right and Bush was wrong. Saddam DID comply, and there were NO weapons of mass destruction.

You'd hope Bush would be big enough to admit when he was wrong.

If you have heard some of her policy thoughts, it should have.
She says 'We are going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good". and there are many more Marxist ideas in her thoughts. I am not sure our great country can survive 4 or 8 years of her presidency. Prepare yourself for election day!

What would happen if All the workers have had enough of being paid minium wages, and having their working conditions eroded under Howard' Liberal Government's Work Choices desided to leave,

All of them nation wide to work for themselves what would happen to those big multi national companies with no workers ?

Because its the worker who makes the companies the money that they like so much, and pay so little if they could get away with it ,Under work choices they can get away with it.

When replying to critical argument of bushs war they say... why dont you serve, I did so screw off.
lol
Or even when critical of republicans actions they just reply with the same rhetoric.

thats super. You served.
That doesn't put anyone above critique and it doesn't "guarantee" respect especially if none is given.

This seems to go against the libertarian doctrine. Clinton's affair was a private matter that he lied about. Bush's taking us into an unjust war was a public matter that he lied about.

I like Paul's views on foreign relations and a smaller government. The impeachment question really bothers me.

If they're eating cabbage soup, and potatoes, why can't they afford to eat better (richer, as it were)?

(My English friend can only eat prawns if he hunts for them himself, otherwise, he eats fried lettuce, and hamburgers.)
