Don't you think there's not much difference between conservatism and dictatorship?

Look at speeches and commentary from our founding fathers and public officials of that era and 50 years latter. Freedom is not immunity from obligation, responsibility and duty. Many in the past and present see freedom as a license to do whatever is acceptable to them....Do we live amongst others (Society) or do we live on private islands? Can you drive drunk? Can you solicit a prostitute? Can you refuse to pay taxes? Can you knock a persons teeth out because you do not like them? All of these examples have consequences...Freedom or Dictatorship???

No
Yes
Conservatives don't want to regulate Free Speech like liberals are as in "Fairness Doctrine"
Conservatives don't try to dream up conspiracy theories why they lose elections like liberals do as in 2000 & 2004 election.
Conservatives believe that people should be held accountable for their actions. For example Larry Craig is was outed and not well accepted after his convictions. Not like when Kennedy was driving under the influnce of drugs and was given a free pass.

It wasn't conservatives that decided to have buffer zones around areas of protest. That was a liberal idea when they created "safe zones" around abortion clinics.

Conservative don't have a problem with Freedom of Religion. They don't go on making a mockery of religion as did those fine liberals in San Franisco.

Another Free Speech idea. How liberals shouted down the Minutemen when they came to speak and yet gave a dictator free pass.

It was liberals who decry conservative as Nazis and yet Soros gave out the notices for Jews to board the death trains without feeling any guilt.

What about Free Press that one network has different view is decry was so awful. Just look at the attacks on Fox.

I suggest before you think conservatives are dictators I look in your own side first.

Yes a great difference. Conservatives belief in small government with little interference, Liberals are much closer to a dictatorship, as they want the government to control every facet of your life. By allowing them to tax you at extreme rates to fund their socialist programs, you are abdicating your independence and right of self determination. Worse yet, the policies would cause a major decline in the economic welfare of the country.

No, conservatism is not a dictatorship - it's a political method but not one that dictates without freedom to society. It opposes radical ideas but does not oppose freedom of choice from its people.

Conservatism is an ideology based on the bible . A religious book used to inflict punishment in this life and the next for those who transgress Gods laws .
The entire premise that conservatives live life on is a book written to control the people and bring order within tribes so trade could effectively be conducted .
Without order you never know when your goods would be taken from you by tribes who roamed about taking what they could from the land and others they encountered . Since everyone fears death offer them some rules to live by and a chance for something else .
Thats why they invented jesus because before people where not assured of an after life immediately and God would some day resurrect the jews for judgment . Jesus sped the hole thing up by offering immediate entrance to heaven if you were a good follower of his word . The world was in turmoil and in need of some radical new plan to keep people from become warriors in tribes that roamed the land taking what they wanted .

Reality is conservatives are delusional , uneducated morons .

Like Night and day

Conserve: to keep from being damaged, lost or wasted; to save keep, or preserve. In politics, a conservative is defined as someone tending to conserve or preserve established traditions or institutions.
Many Liberals laugh at morality, family values, religious faith, hard work, high educational standards, self-reliance, courtesy, patriotism, individual responsibility, and pre-marital abstinence.
To conserve, one has to be smart enough to know what to keep and preserve from 10,000 years of civilization, so we don't keep repeating grievous mistakes. Our nation, our culture, our civilization depends on conservatism - either to save what is good and workable, or to rescue us from anarchy when the nation goes belly up.

No, not in this country. If dictatorship were within the confines of this country you would have been jailed for claiming the President of the United States lied.

Um - no...conservatives believe in a small, limited government. We believe that you are perfectly capable of making your own way through life without the government wiping your hiney for you.

I Think I would have to know how that idea came about. Conservatives want no part of big "Orwellian" type government. Conservatives believe in free enterprise with the government doing what is necessary in maintaining protection and safety of the people, and to lower taxes economically.
