No sane person will tell you that the decision to invade Iraq in the first place was not totally flawed. Everyone knows that it was a huge mistake, based on errors or even lies.

But now we are there. And leaving could be the truly great mistake. If we leave too soon there could be genocide, more war, and total chaos.

Which will history judge as the bigger foreign policy blunder: going to Itaq in the first place, or leaving Iraq too soon?

There is a "non-binding" resolution before Congress that will call the death's of 1.5 million Armenians, killed by Ottoman Turks around the time of WWI genocide. These deaths occured as a result of the collapse of the Ottoman Empire, and is ancient history, yet Nancy Pelosi and her "cure all or kill all" friends in the House want to pass this resolution because "they can." Turkey is a key player in maintaining a supply route to our Military personel in Iraq and Afghanistan; they have been our allies for decades, and now, because of the liberal thinking of a few, Turkey may now become a part of the problem in the Middle East instead of part of the cure. They have recalled their Ambassador to Washington, to discuss the anti-Turkish agenda now before the House and Senate...it looks grim from all points of view. So tell me...do we need another enemy is the Middle East? Do we need to make waves over a situation that happened nearly 100 years ago? Please share your good thoughts.Thanks.

I think it is. Therefor I recomen the government stop recognizing it all together.
If the gov. wants to issue domestic partnerships so that all couples are equal under the law, then that is the only viable option that doesn't put some Americans above others.

It's the only constitutional solution to the issue.
Your thoughts?

Why then, do they accuse everyone who dislikes Bush of hating America?

Especially when Bush has worked so hard at being disliked with his horrendous policies.

I the most pro life, affermative action dispising, stem cell research opposing, tax cut supporting American I know.

But I support gay marriage because I don't think it's the governments business who gets married to who. Gays drive our economy with their purchances of expensive designer clothes, shoes and fragrances.

Thanks to the gays people like me the metro sexual were born and with out gays men would still be wearing dirty old jeans and lumber jack shirts with no color or style.

I am for leagalizing drugs and prostiyution. So we can tax the hell out of these trades and take the money away from the criminals and back to honest Americans.

Again, get rid of ilegals and replace them with dead beat dads and healthy welfare recipiants.

If this question moves forward and relations with Turkey are further strained and then we are prevented from using their lands and airspace for moving our supplies wont that make the war harder to fight.

I tried, but I am unable to load my avatar or picture for use in posting forums. People seem to post the same old questions from time to time. Sometimes questions are meaningless or are attacks on public figures. Yahoo! Answers is poorly archived and if you want to add to an old posting you can't. There should be improvements made to Yahoo! Answers, so we people don't have to waste our time going through a slew of junk postings. It's a waste of our time!

Postings do seem to influence public opinion as they flash by the first few pages in about a day's time. Few people ever get to see your posting and even fewer comment!

The idea of allowing people the freedom to speak their mind is good. Thanks Yahoo. Answers this is your best feature!

We post in Yahoo! Answers and hardly anyone notices. Our influence on public opinion is negligible. This seems like a good place to post a lot of rubbish so as to be able to rack up Yahoo! Answer points. Yes?

From Rush & Ann Coulter on down, all they do is bad mouth liberals & call them all sorts of names. They are always so angry & combatitive. Why can't they have a reasonable discussion & just exchange views & ideas without getting all bent out-of-shape? Is this why they always wage wars with other countries?

One of the world's foremost meteorologists has called the theory that helped Al Gore share the Nobel Peace Prize "ridiculous" and the product of "people who don't understand how the atmosphere works".

Dr Gray, whose annual forecasts of the number of tropical storms and hurricanes are widely publicised, said a natural cycle of ocean water temperatures - related to the amount of salt in ocean water - was responsible for the global warming that he acknowledges has taken place.

However, he said, that same cycle meant a period of cooling would begin soon and last for several years.

"We'll look back on all of this in 10 or 15 years and realise how foolish it was," Dr Gray said.

During his speech to a crowd of about 300 that included meteorology students and a host of professional meteorologists, Dr Gray also said those who had linked global warming to the increased number of hurricanes in recent years were in error.
