It doesn't work that way. In the case of Iraq the plan was to get rid of Saddam, install a puppet government and that government would legalize whatever arrangments the Bush Junta and the Oil Mafia cared to impose. So, as you can see, no 'theft' could possibly be involved...all legal eagle. Granted, the above is the CliffsNotes version, but in the real world 'ya gotta' have all the i's dotted and the t's crossed. I suspect that the Bush crowded didn't think their little plan all the way through...they didn't expect all the confusion of civil war and other muslim butinskis fouling up the 'plan'.....ah, well.....soon these bums will be gone...unfortunately we'll be stuck in Iraq for decades one way or another!

Maybe if the people answering your question here had read the Iraq Hydrocarbon Act they would know that the U.S. government is requiring Iraq to open it's oil business to a foreign bidding system!!!!!!!!

This Act is 1 of the 18 benchmarks we keep being told Iraq isn't coming to agreement on.

No the U.S. or any other country should NOT be allowed to steal a sovereign countries resources!

Makes this 'spreading Democracy' story pretty full of holes! IMO!

Although it does sound better than legalized pillaging!

No and they do not. The Iraqi people own the oil. We have not taken it from them. If we wanted to, we could have. No sources. You are just reporting what you want to be true.

Might be an issue if anyone was trying to steal their oil. However, since nobody is, your question is pointless.

No. I think they should be allowed to drill and extract shale oil here.
