That of deforestation?
Could it be that global warmers also blame the trees because they emit ever increasing levels of C02 as they mature?

I was under the apparently false assumption that trees consumed CO2 and emit O in the photosynthesis process.
If you're correct, deforestation is a good thing - although it flies in the face of research which indicates a certain number of trees is necessary to sustain each individual on this planet.
Who knew?

I'm not interested in Voodoo or any other religion. But seriously, I've never heard anyone say that trees are significant producers of carbon dioxide. I'm pretty sure that the carbon dioxide they produce is more than offset by the oxygen that they produce.

Edit:

In the presence of sunlight, plants absorb carbon dioxide and produce oxygen. In the absence of sunlight, the opposite is true at a much slower rate.

Hmm.

Voodoo, fascinating subject, (though probably more accurately called "Vodoun" You should read Wade Davis's "The Serpent and the Rainbow (don't think that freaking horror film had much to do with the book!) He is an ethnobotanist who studied their culture and religion.

Real issue? Before you decide that deforestation is any more of an issue than clean drinkable water, destruction of species, and other issues try reading Jared Diamond's "Collapse"

Now that you mention. Voodoo could be a solution to
master the true issue, i.e. get rid of environmental pratts.

What? Voodoo economics? That was Reagan's rehash of the same tired Tinkled-On Theory that Repukes have been trying to con us with since time immemorial, along with their "invisible hand" picking our pockets and getting your rocks off. Nice try, (_*_)

Weren't much for science were you?

Trees(actually all plants) take in Co2 and release oxygen!

Defrorestation is terrible. Trees do not emit CO2, the take it in and emit oxygen. You have it backwards.
