Oh who am I kidding, CONFLICT? It's in his direct financial interest to scare people into buying his carbon credits like indulgences. PT Barnum would be proud as hell. This way to the egress!!

Gore helped found Generation Investment Management, through which he and others pay for offsets. The firm invests the money in solar, wind and other projects that reduce energy consumption around the globe, she said...

Gore is chairman of the firm and, presumably, draws an income or will make money as its investments prosper. In other words, he "buys" his "carbon offsets" from himself, through a transaction designed to boost his own investments and return a profit to himself. To be blunt, Gore doesn't buy "carbon offsets" through Generation Investment Management - he buys stocks.

Some clueless con said that because Newton's laws of motion has the word "law" in it, it is therefore not a theory, but a fact.

The FACT is Newton's "laws" of motion are also just "theories."

Newton's "laws" cannot explain motion at speeds approaching the speed of light. It cannot even be used to predict Mercury's motion around the sun. Mercury, while not moving anywhere near the speed of light, is still moving too fast for Newton's laws.

Einstein, (((THEORY))) of relativity, on the other hand, applies under more conditions then Newton's "laws" of motion. Einstein's theories can be used to explain Mercury's motion around the sun as well as objects moving near the speed of light.

So much for "laws" versus "theory".

Lt. Michael P. Murphy, a Navy SEAL from Patchogue who died in Afghanistan after risking his life to save his colleagues during a 2005 battle, is to recieve the nation's highest combat award -- the Medal of Honor.

Murphy will become only the third person to earn that highest honor since President George W. Bush sent troops to Afghanistan in 2001 and later to Iraq. And the first member of the Navy to recieve the award since Vietnam.

Guess not; everybody is falling over themselves for the Goracle and his hoax.

When the film as a whole passed scrutiny.

""Children's Minister Kevin Brennan had earlier said: "It is important to be clear that the central arguments put forward in An Inconvenient Truth, that climate change is mainly caused by man-made emissions of greenhouse gases and will have serious adverse consequences, are supported by the vast weight of scientific opinion.

"Nothing in the judge's comments today detract from that.

Let's assume that global warming is not caused by man. What difference does it make? Is there really a lobby out there that supports the emission of greenhouse gases? Is there any doubt that reliance on oil is the number one source of funds for many terrorist sponsoring nations? Shouldn't we be pushing to be the world leader in alternative fuel technologies? If americans could develop a quality hydrogen car before the Japanese, Germans or Koreans wouldn't we have the edge in the world auto market? What about other technologies that we could export around the world in order?

Why has this become a libs for it, neocons against it rant?

when shown in other countries like the UK? Why is it that the US people are so stupid? I'm a US citizen too, born and raised here, but it's soooo freaking sad to see how many people here are idiots. I mean really. The true minority in this country is actually not black, latino or chinese. Intelligent people are the true minority. People just believe whatever they are told republicans and democrats alike, without ever considering the source and without critically thinking about these issues. People are more concerned about big brother 8 or survivor, tanning shows, Wadafuc people actually watch reality shows about TANNING???!!!!! you know what, the usa deserves to be blown away if we're going to be intentionally stupid. What do you guys think?

Do they think it was justified to kill so many Nicaraguans, millions of Vietnamese, almost a million Indonesians (the CIA provided a Death list to Suharto containing the 500 000 members and associates of the communist party) and so many other non-whites... just because their military calls them terrorists?

Why are Americans willing to stand behind the Empire? Don't you claim to believe in Democracy? Is it supposed to be Democracy only for whites? Why do you support apartheid in Israel? Why did you (Reagan at least did) support apartheid in S. Africa? Why do you want to control the world?

Decision to overlook these errors in Al Gore's BS documentary?

The film claims that melting snows on Mount Kilimanjaro evidence global warming. The Government's expert was forced to concede that this is not correct.

The film suggests that evidence from ice cores proves that rising CO2 causes temperature increases over 650,000 years. The Court found that the film was misleading: over that period the rises in CO2 lagged behind the temperature rises by 800-2000 years.

The film uses emotive images of Hurricane Katrina and suggests that this has been caused by global warming. The Government's expert had to accept that it was "not possible" to attribute one-off events to global warming.

The film shows the drying up of Lake Chad and claims that this was caused by global warming. The Government's expert had to accept that this was not the case.

WASHINGTON – Mexico's former President Vicente Fox is making no secret of his desire to promote a "North American Union" to compete economically with Europe and the Far East.

Fox shocked many in the U.S. earlier in the week when he told CNN's Larry King that he and President Bush had agreed to work toward a common currency not only for North America but for Latin America as well.

This is just another example of how Bush is helping sell America's borders out.

When will this insanity end?

Do these morons even know where the U.S.- Mexico border is?

I don't want to see that and the U.S. Canada border erased AT ALL!

Once that God forbid happens, America will seize to exsist.

It's scary.

Let's all fight for one of the top indentities of America.

HER BORDERS!

GOD BLESS AMERICA!
