I have more than just one problem with him winning this award.

First and foremost, the theory of man-made global warming is increasingly being ridiculed, not supported, by scientists. Watch The Great Global Warming Swindle (link below)

Secondly, this guy jets all around the country, consuming vast amounts of fuel. When he's not jetting around, he's living in a huge mansion that requires about 20 times the national average for electricity.

Third, (and this one should destroy his credibility), those carbon credits he is "buying" are more like a money swap! He owns the company he is paying! Does anyone realize how slimy and duplicitous this douchebag is?

Lastly, Gore himself must realize that a lot of what he presents in the video is a complete distortion of the facts. For example, he has spoken with enough scientists and seen enough data charts to understand there is no cause and effect relationship between the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere and global temperature. Ice core samples have proven it is actually the opposite; higher temperatures account for more CO2, not vice versa. Also, there is always hundreds of years between one change (CO2 or temperature) and the other.

Gore can rest easy at night. When they have an award for the biggest hypocrite in the world, he'll easily beat out the competition. Way to go, Gore! You can have two trophies now.

Although Paul Revere warned the citizenry of Boston of the impending REDCOAT attack on horse-back, don't you think that Al Gore SHOULD utilize modern technology to get HIS warning out to the world?

Would it REALLY be more noble and he, less a HYPOCRITE if he WALKED from door-to-door?
Would he be a greater man if he showed NO URGENCY in addressing what most scientists consider a "planet-threatening" possibility?
What should Al Gore do to NOT be either hypocritical or irresponsible in your eyes?

I realize that it is improper to "answer" a question with more questions, but perhaps your feelings for the MAN is affecting your acceptance of the message...

Agreed, he buys carbon credits from a company that he owns. He is a hypocrite, but most are too brainwashed to see it.
