yes. If a politician has cheated in one way what is to stop him or her from cheating in another way? Morality rules us all. A few mistakes as kids may be okay depending on what the mistakes were, but continued moral corruption is an indication the individual is untrustworthy.

I should hope not. There are many occupations that foster morality, but politics erodes it. If we can not manage to be moral examples for our children, we should not pick a politician, members of the mafia, or lawyers in our place. Power corrupts.
