Do you think the tax cuts will be repealed?

One of the major news stations was saying that the one of the first things the democrats will do is repeal some of the tax cuts Bush enacted, specifically the marriage tax penalty. I need every last penny of that tax cut to pay my bills. My sister says that is a little dramatic and it won't happen like that. What do you think?

Could this loss turn out to be a good thing for the Republican party?

Usually I consider my self a firm Republican but its Impossible to ignore all the recent scandals and chronyism that has plagued my party. Im not saying the Democrats will do any better but I think the party needs to be weeded out every now and than plus it reminds them that they could easily lose there jobs if they dont work hard. Do you think the Republicans will come back stronger for it?

Why do liberals who post questions, frequently, report as abuse answers that disagree with their opinions?

*** I DO NOT WANT ANYONE answering: that is not true, or I don't believe that. Because this is true. That's why Shiraz and John Skerry have had to create about 1000 user ids in the past three months. ****

Personally, I vehemently disagree with almost everything Jim W., Humanist, and many others post. However, I would never report their answers as abuse because I believe they have the right to state their opinions.

Recently, there seems to have been a rash of reporting, as well as, questions and answers being deleted from this forum.

What Yahoo and some people fail to realize is that the only reason why Yahoo Politics Answers is as popular as it is, is because of the free exchange of ideas and the differing viewpoints. Once you start censoring ideas people will lose interested and this forum will die.

If I get many more reports, I feel the only option will be to do the same! Then Yahoo Answers will be a clean, sanitized environment that no one will want to use.

why are Dems so upset over 3000 soldiers deaths?

Seriously why do you dems fight so much against the war because it killed 3000 or so americans when here in the USA:
1,000,000+(actual stat) babies are killed each year in the
name of "womens choice"(even though the baby has its own
blood type, DNA, etc)
That is the biggest HYPOCITICAL thing in america easily!
750 soldiers who joined by "choice" die a year
VS.
1,000,000 babies who couldn't choose, are killed a year

Should We Be Gracious in Defeat?

I would like to Congratulate the members of the Democrat community here at Yahoo answers. Your candidates did a fine job.

I am not going to pretend that I am happy about the election results.

I pray that the more Conservative Democrats keep people like Nancy Pelosi in line.

I pray that the Democrats realize the importance of funding a strong military.

I pray that we don't turn into a Socialistic Society.

Please hold YOUR Representatives to task to insuring the Security of our Country...

Dems vs GOP?

Why do the two major political parties want to uphold some of our rights, and supress others?

What I mean is:

GOP looks to hold back free speech, witht he FCC and all.

Dems look to hold back the right to bear arms with their gun control initiatives.
