Seriously why do you dems fight so much against the war because it killed 3000 or so americans when here in the USA:
1,000,000+(actual stat) babies are killed each year in the
name of "womens choice"(even though the baby has its own
blood type, DNA, etc)
That is the biggest HYPOCITICAL thing in america easily!
750 soldiers who joined by "choice" die a year
VS.
1,000,000 babies who couldn't choose, are killed a year

If the liberals had thier way, all of Europe would be speaking German today, since theywould have never allowed WWII to happen.

And yes I understand it is closer to 1.25 million babies are killed each year but that is of course the womens right to kill her baby,
But a soldier does not have a right to give his life for his nations safey.

And of course car wrecks kill more pepole than the war does also, ( just in one state) so why not outlaw all cars, only allow mass transit, that would save tens of thousands of lifes every year

Well, on the surface things look pretty bleak for Republicans. Historically speaking, this is no surprise. However, it is not as bad as it seems!

History of mid-term elections: Any time the United States has been at war during a mid-term election, there has been a shift in power. The deaths from the war are never easy to take and as a whole, Americans do not have the stomach nor heart to endure continued losses, even for a good cause. This election's shift in power is no big surprise. However, there's a silver lining...

Several of the gains made by Democrats were by conservative democrats. Joe Lieberman, a registered and caucased Dem, ran against his own party's nominee as an independant... and WON! Joe is a conservative Dem that supports the cause of fighting terror. So if the war in Iraq is the cause for the shift in power, why were conservatives elected? While a majority of Americans feel things are going wrong in Iraq, they still understand the reason we are there. We are NOT supporting the Dem's idea of passing the baton of victory to the terrorists, but instead, want to be open-minded that we need a new strategy that will better ensure victory.

Another gleeming hope for Republicans is the fact that referendums this election tend to favor conservatism. Several states banned same sex marriage. One state banned abortion. Basically, while there was a cry for change in power, a majority of Americans still cling to conservative views.

Watch for Joe Lieberman to rally other Conservative Dems in the Senate. Should the VA seat fold to a Dem, the control they hoped for is still not locked. Joe and a handfull of Conservative Dems will still swing a good deal of power to the President on issues of the war on terrorism.

One has nothing to do with the other, No solder who signs up to protect this country should be sent to a war for personal reasons based on a lie? there here to protect us not Iraq. How many members of congress have immediate family members in the military? 2 yep just 2. gosh in my family I have 2. When you send our solders into a war were it cost there live IMO it better be for a damn good reason. and Iraq wasnt.

As far as abortion, your assuming that life begins at conception not everyone believes that. its not a baby yet at 6 or 8 weeks its a embryo.

I will tell you something here. While I admit that the destruction of a few cells that obviously have no independent consciousness does not upset me, I would be willing to compromise with you and not allow abortions if it would help us keep a decent government in power. I have never participated in any way in an abortion and I think they should be avoided if possible. What about rape, incest and threats to the life of the mother? Are you against abortion in these cases?

I see Father Chuck will miss the fighting and dying...good job padre, I'm sure Jesus loves you!

Oh please! Go preach somewhere else! Do it on Sunday!

We are as sick of you as we are of Bush and the Republicans!

Go do something decent, like keeping your nose out of our business!

You guys stopped condoms from being passed out at schools and now you complain about the abortion rate! Ever hear of Cause and Effect??

Now you are going after birth control for ALL people as you say it is an abortion, which is pure BS!!

You can come back when you talk to God and he agrees with you!

My hair that falls out has DNA!!

Let's talk about hypocritical here.

If abortion is so abhorrent to you, how do you justify sending 3000 soldiers - who have their own blood type, dna, NAME, PERSONALITY, FAMILY, etc - to their deaths?

And what about the 300,000+ (actual stat) Iraqis - including women and children - who did NOT volunteer for this war. How the @#$$ is it ok to kill them?

Abortion is murder, but war is ok?

Where is your head? Abortion has never been an option in my family. I want all my sons and daughters alive. If I wanted them dead, they would have been aborted. My son spent a tour in Iraq. Not a day went by that I didn't fear his death. I want that to stop for all parents who choose to bear their children rather than abort them. You are no different than an abortion doctor in my book, if you want my children to die in Iraq.
You are the hypocrite.

All democrats are not pro abortion, a majority feel that is not any of any ones business except for the girl and the doctor involved, and that is up to god to decide not humans or government.

FR Tuck -- It was the liberal Roosevelt who got us into WWII. The conservatives with Lindbergh leaned toward the Germans and wanted to keep us out of the war. Stick to Catholic theology and stay away from history.

Blood type? DNA? So do your fleas.

I did not know until today that the people who want to control women's bodies also hate our servicemen and women.

You are a very good argument for retroactive abortion, one at least.

This is your OPINION. You are entitled to it. You are not entiltled to force everyone else to go along with it. You can make live cells on a Petrie dish. Is it a baby? Yes or no, it's your OPINION
