Washington DC was built on a swamp. Before there was ac, our elected officials would get the heck out of DC before the weather got hot. They would spend time with their constituents. Now they hang around DC too long and find ways to waste our money and pass useless bills.

I've heard a lot of people talking about impeaching Bush.
Can anyone give some honest, specific and valid reasons to impeach?

BTW, specific means "warcrimes" or "treason" don't count, I need specific examples of crimes.

If you do believe, which ones do you believe in? Why or whydon't you believe in them? What is responsible for the lack of understanding for them... or why do these conspiracy theories come to light? Who is making them up? How crazy is someone that does believe them? Etc.

What do you think? I not talking about FoxNews but rather the typical hyper-regurtiation of the NEOCON party line we have seen these last several years.

In a time in American and World history where a lot of important things are happening and we need the support of our leaders, all of them seem to be on vacation. Our current president is on a record setting pace of taking vacation days. Since voted into office he has spent 40% of his time on vacation, surpassed only by his father who spent around 550 days in a four year period on vacation. Our Congress is set to work only 80 days this year, and the Supreme Court has herd less than 30 cases in the current present presidential term. Where are our leaders?

Have the Jews got a right to claim a piece of land in the middle east and make it a jewish state with jewish laws. Would it have been such a bad idea to have had a secular palestinian state. with Jews, Muslims and Christians having an equal franchise?

as they did in 2000 and 2004? If the Diebold "election" results again are far skewed from the exit polls - is it time to take our country back from the tyrannical GOP by force? Should we start stockpiling guns preparing for the Civil War II? I know the GOP lost the first Civil War, yet they stuck around and took advantage of America's freedoms while leeching off of our country. This time should they be kicked out of the country? Revoking US citizenship would be a start. LMAO

I'm a little sickened by some(but not all) of the so-called "pro-lifers" on this site.I have seen them bemoaning the legality of abortion, and yet some of them call for murdering doctors who perform it and people who want to keep it legal.

This is what I'm talking about:
"Liberals are declaring war on babies. It's high time we bomb them too"-Mr_Scorpio_Rules,July 31,2006.
"Liberals do discard babies like garbage"-Irishhapist.

What a mess they are.

My reasoning is this:
1-To reduce abortions, start by keeping it in sterile, safe clinics.
2-This will make women more receptive to alternatives to abortion in the first place.
3-Regular normal Americans of all political stripes are not hung up on abortion. Most people avoid any lengthy discussion on it.
4-If some conservtaives went so deeply opposed to premartial sex in the first place before the sexual revolution, maybe the left's "reaction" with promiscuity, abortion, and pornography wouldn't be so flamboyant.Tit for tat,as history goes.

Many gays are gun owners. What do you think of this? Is it OK with you? Some of us carry guns to protect us from homophobes. If Matthew Shepherd had had a gun the night he was killed, don't you think it's likely that he would be alive today?

The story is in every single channel, 5-10 minutes of coverage almost every hour. The talk is an insessant declaration that his career is over, that he's a bigot, that he is a monster, blah, blah, blah.

This is the same media that coddled(s) the following (just a few examples):
Robert Downey Jr.
R. Kelly
Winona Ryder
Louis Farrakhan
Malik Shabazz
Roman Polanski
Patrick Kennedy
Al Sharpton
etc.

Of course, the media either accepts their apology unconditionally, or protects them from scrutiny for their own purposes. This is a disgrace.

Mel Gibson issues what sounds like a very sincere and contrite apology, reaching out for help, and it is cast aside and made fun off. I'm sickened that our country has become this.

Do you really need to repeat words that somebody else wrote to show your patriotism? would you not be able to defend the homeland if you don't say it? I think the pledge of alligence is a bunch of crap, only a symbol meant for the symbol minded... what do you think?

Listen to the audio as well.

Try to keep from yelling about libs and reps please. This should be objective, not based on emotion or predispositions to angst or loathing.
