It is sad that there would be such things printed in the post. But consider that in a odd way it is good as it shows us what kind of people we are dealing with and that there are many people out there that need some real thearapy. So as terriable as the comment maybe it is important for us to be aware of what kind of people we are dealing with and alerts us to the many dangers around us. But the real sad truth is this guy sees killing people as nothing. Perhaps he doesnt realize that just because someone is a certain ethnic backround does not mean that they believe in all the things that are going on. For example to say that all people from Baghdad hate americans would be false. It is not true and many of them dont agree with the actions of others in the society. So sad as it is this is the reality of some peoples minds. Perhaps this guy was led to belive this way and he has never had the opportunity to see otherwise.

Interesting article. Sounds like a text book example of PTSD. which is a normal reaction to an abnormal situation. I some how doubt he came over there with the idea of killing people. Even though he may have said that. It probably started with the drive holding on to his friend. It's just too bad no one got to him in time.

What you think this is something new, what do you think wars do.
You'll always find these in every country ,and in every war.
Why don't you ask the same question why did the Iraqi's murder the Kurds??? Most are over there to Help , only a fool would listen to one persons thoughts and draw conclusions.

I think that the media focuses too much on scum like him, instead of all the valor that many others show. My husband is US Army, so are many of our friends, and not one of them admires Green for what he did, or think that he had any excuse for it.
Most of our friends admire the Iraqi people, for their strength, and their bravery. They think the Iraqi people are amazing, and would gladly defend them.
Only one of our friends ever has said that this war is for nothing. None of them ever said they delighted in killing, or that that was the reason they joined.
Green is only one soldier. What about the other nearly three million who are members of our Armed Forces?

Worth a serious in depth background check. It is not advise able to put mentally unstable people like that into combat situations.More trauma just adds more fuel to their fire!

Like the article said, he expected an adrenaline rush after killing someone. When it didn't happen, he pursued other avenues to get it. Pretty sick.
