Sadly, the odds of people actually debating the merits of any argument without yelling and pointing fingers at an opposing group are fairly small.

Isn't that common knowledge?! THere was a clear and direct gov't role in delaying the defense operative. It's CLEAR, and Cons refuse to believe this.
